ENTERBAY: Girlfriend - Beauty Doll Collezioni, 1/6 female figures

Enterbay has announced a forthcoming collection of female figures starting with Annie Liu, a model and actress from Asia. She'll be geared up to look like the bottom pictures, a nurse, as a promotion for her upcoming movie with Asia super star Julian Cheung called "Natural Born Lovers" (天生愛情狂)

I hoped EB would do more stuff with Asia TV/movie/entertainment branded stuff. I guess this is a start.

P.S. For those of you that wanted the 1/6 Emmy Rossum figure under the Dragon Ball Evolution license, Bill has announced she will be revisited/improved and will come to fruition but under a different license. Perhaps along with this Girlfriend Collection line??

@ a bunch of man nerds dumping on a female line. As someone who was disappointed when they ditched Emmy Rossum, I'm happy they're picking her up again. Also happy that EB are thinking laterally with their licenses

This hobby desperately needs more fem figs that don't look like sex dolls or American prom queens or both. IMO, this one fits the bill. I shall be watching this line with keen interest.

Sorry, just anticipating some accusations of sexism about the titling of this line.

It could be interesting. We'll see what comes of it.

I am also not that impressed by a "Girlfriend Beauty Doll" line, but they have to look to their market. Collectors of action figures are predominantly straight male, so maketing this as a line of attractive females will presumably appeal to them. And, by calling them dolls, they are presumably also targetting the fashion doll crowd, who are predominantly straight female but are also looking for attractive women to dress up, lead by whatever is currently deemed attractive in the fashion world. So, presumably this will appeal to them as well.

I am overlooking the name and hoping for some real women with a bit of character and life to the headsculpt and no vapid, sex doll expressions, and this looks promising.

If they release something i actually give a ____ about like Uma Thurman from Pulp Fiction or Kill Bill then they can call it girlfreinds, American Dolls, Barbie, sex toy cabbage patch kids or whtever the hell they want to...

If they don't then it's still just gonna be more crap I don't care about. Oh well!
