The fact is from Salvation, I know, the scene where the T-800 pops up on the screen of the monitor underground. Near the beginning, in the same room where the prisoners are.

The scan I think is like a rendering. Checking there are no imperfections.

I always wondered how long it took, like they say it can grow back at a slow rate. It was the second time I watched TS I was looking at the T-800 scematics. When I saw the flesh building up over the endo, I was strangley excited, I saw a little counter next to it. 40 days! Thats quite a while! Maybe T2 is set in 2029 it's a bit more advanced then 2018.

maybe, because it's 2018 skynet's tissue replication process isn't as fast as it its in 2029ish. the one's in 2018 were grown in vats, where in everybody's favorite teaser it's pressed on ala silly putty. just a thought, don't murder me.

Works for me, especially the silly putty analogy. If it needs to change its face, it just has to get a newspaper image large enough to press against its existing face.
