Wow! Just outstanding work, just flippin' outstanding! I'm part of a FB group making 1/1 Dredd suits and I just love your attention to detail!!

Thanks Hollis DZC! That's awesome! I'm actually thinking about getting a hold of a 1:1 Dredd helmet. I actually visit this one prop replica forum that has a bunch of guys making Dredd pieces as reference. I really dig the kind of deconstruction mindset that goes into figuring out how to best recreate props.

Finally just finished Dredd's boots. It took a while because I wanted to include the distinctive details like the spur-like metal protrusions on the back, the toe caps, and of course the shin guards. All made from scratch.

Here are some quick shots of Dredd in the new boots. I'll take more pictures tomorrow. I'll also add the six clasps.

Thanks guys! I'm making the clasps for the boots now. I wish I had a better camera. The lens distortion on the one I have is horrible. Makes Dredd's upper body look huge.

I made the boots from scratch. The sole, toe caps, spurs, and shin guards were sculpted. The body of the boots were fabricated from the same leather as the suit. There's foam padding inside to give it form.

And the clasps are being made out of a combination of sculpey and rubber.

Just finished the first application of dusting to take some of the shininess out of the leather and to give the suit an overall grit. I may do one or two more coats, but I don't want to over do it. I want to make the suit look like it did just as Dredd enter's Peachtrees - dusty but not like he looks leaving Peachtrees at the end of the movie.
