Whatever the reason for Sideshow's ban, it backfired massively with the other members.

A quick glance through the many threads and posts, it might've been his discussion about depression itself that got him booted.

e.g.,

Sideshow Collectibles wanted a advertisement page disguised as a community group. And when that community group had a real discussion about the dangers of over spending on meaningless inanimate objects and depression about filling a void in your life with these things that will never do that.
Well, can't have that. People might actually try and spend responsibly and look for fulfillment outside of buying another Ironman repaint or any other hunk of plastic.

Probably all be forgotten in no time, as with Susan's departure.

So there was supposed to be a contest in the Sideshow FB group that they would run five days after hitting 50,000 members and announce the winner who would get $500 in Sideshow Rewards. They hit 50,000 members about a month ago, never ran the contest that anyone can tell, definitely never announced a winner, and now, presumably because people are being idiots about this Ian Castillo thing, the group lost about 800 members and is back down to 49,814.
