You have the Dr No Bond looking good there! I disagree on the GF version being better though, as there's no disguising the poorly tailored suit.
You should try contact BCS and ask for a replacement stand, as it's obviously a factory error.
The GF Connery fig was let down by the bad tailoring, useless body and poor paint app. If you rectify all these shortcomings it's not a bad piece. I think I remember seeing someone repaint the GF Bond sculpt and it looked amazing.

It's a shame BC didn't revise and fine tune the GF suit a little more before/during production. I remember someone swapping out the suit for a third party one. While not accurate in the finer details, it was better tailored and looked great.
I would have liked that GF Bond version in my collection, but the ill fitting suit, along with the whole nose paint scrape debacle killed my desire.

He’s not my favorite Bond actor, but I think of the figures released the Roger Moore Bond turned out the best overall. Both the Connery ones kinda have their issues if you ask me.

Yeah I used a third party suit and new body for my Bond.
Sculpt could still do with a repaint though.

That's the one! Looks very nice and closer to Sean's towering physique
Thanks ,
Yeah the figure is now on a much taller body with broad shoulders. Sean was a pretty big dude, so I wanted the figure to reflect this. The suit is not entirely accurate but still look better then the BCS one imo.

Nice! My exact sentiment on the BCS body. Which one did you use?

Hi all! Has anyone tried making the casino table segment and any backgrounds for the Dr. No Connery figure, like the ones BCS used for their photos?

I just got in the Bond figure, and i must have hit the jackpot with this super, duper, ultra rare exclusive version that has an extra piece of material sewn onto the shirt collar:ROFLMAO:
Seriously i don't know weather to laugh or cry, but it's one disappointing mess of a figure, ladened with QC issues from the said shirt collar error to the poorly tailored dinner jacket.
The front pockets on the jacket look awful when tucking the flaps in to recreate how they should look in the movie. Stitching of the buttons on the sleeves are all poorly misaligned and then there's the giant magnets that are suppose to keep the jacket closed but don't work as they've been glued in the wrong way...I mean FFS!
The over scaled gun holster too is poorly executed and seems more like an afterthought...

The only real saving grace is the terrific head sculpt. It may be a tad on the cartoony side, but then again Connery had a bit of a cartoony looking face, especially in his younger years. Paint apps are fine for the most part, except for the eye irises, which could have been done better.
Gun box with his PPK is the standout accessory and is very nicely realised...

Anyways this figure should have wowed me when i opened it, instead of WTF!!

That's Geewhiz's work? Gee-whiz...

I really feel this figure is a FU to the fans from BCS. At least, I take it that way personally.

The only way I'll pick this up is 2nd hand at an extreme discount.

I have a very similar custom with the same bbkill head... and despite the fact that I find that bbkill head small and, in hand, doesn't really look much like Connery, it still looks miles better than the overall BCS. Put the BCS head on that custom and you have a superior Dr No Bond.

That's where we're all being conned, Geewhiz only do the protos. It's all an illusion and a sales pitch. Production piece is down to what ever factory BCS are using.
I still feel these Bond figure's were rushed out, maybe due to the factory time allocated to BCS...Hence all the QC errors.
They have a long backlog of pre-orders to still get through, and it looks as though their Laurel and Hardy set has been pushed back yet again!
