hmm... not sure what to think. Some cool scenes and interactions between the avengers and the guardians. Wished there could be more action scenes as they struggled to get each character's powers properly utilised. However, pretty nice storyline although it is less infinity war and more thanos origin. The ending will shock a lot of fans out there with a whole lot of characters dying.

Well go ahead then...
No cap shield seen anywhere. No hulk in hulkbuster or anywhere after the first scene with thanos, only banner who holds his own. Hawkeye and antman are nowhere to be seen. Deaths: loki, vision and gamora all by thanos. Due to the stones: bucky, falcon, black panther, scarlet witch, maria hill, fury, teen groot, starlord, strange, spiderman, drax, mantis. Might have missed out a few more. Oh and red skull is some death looking figure guiding people to the soul gem/stone. And cue captain marvel! End of part 1 of 2.

from what i heard (non spoiler wise) with all the talk of this movie just setting up for the next one it doesnt sound like anything that huge happens.

and even reading the spoiler above you, everyone in here already kinda knows what happens from speculation. it does sound like a thin movie plot wise

it sounds like a very safe and predictable movie. I dont think the movie will be bad, it will probably look amazing, but it sounds predictable

Well Disney took some chances with their other major properties and look what that got them.

Predictable is safe.

If you’re absolutely sure. It’s probably a better experience without knowing because it’s a real “will they, won’t they cop it” type scenario at the end.

A LOT OF PEOPLE.

Thanos ‘wins' in the end. As in, his plan to kill 50% of the universe succeeds. It’s a total cliffhanger for the next instalment, Shawpaw is right. They should have stuck with calling this Part 1.

The only characters left alive by the end besides Thanos are Tony Stark, Nebula, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, the lady in charge of the Wakandan guard and one of Black Panther’s other friends (I haven’t seen BP so I dunno who he is), maybe War Machine? (can’t remember), Thor, and Rocket Raccoon. Antman and Hawkeye aren’t in the movie so I dunno about them.

Everyone else is dead. The post credit scene even kills off Nick Fury and Maria Hill.

As for my thoughts on the movie itself, it was ok IMO. The third act was a just a whole lot of shlock action stuff but that’s to be expected I guess. Pretty thin on plot but there are some surprise appearances.

Idk man. You have to watch it yourself. Knowing all the events that had happened in all of past Marvel films and then watching the movie IW was so fulfilling. It just really paid off. I'm not much of a reviewer btw. Sorry.

One thing that seems mostly unanimous in the reviews is that they did Thanos right and he's a great villain. That's all I ask for.

It's basically Thanos' movie more than it is an Avengers one, is the vibe I'm getting.

Just a minor thought on the movie.

It would have been a good movie if not for the "it's a 2 part movie but we decided to change the name to confuse you although it is still a 2 parter and should be watched together" thing they went with. But so fun to see all those characters interact. Bucky and rocket had one funny moment!!

They have been saying this is a thanos movie and that Avengers 4 is from the Avengers aspect of it, but thankfully the wait doesn’t seem that long for next year I guess.

Without spoiling anything, can anyone tell me if this movie has any really boring parts that drag on (like everything between the Lagos battle and the airport battle in Civil War)? All I really want is an entertaining movie instead of another borefest... Especially given that the running time for this is over two hours.
