The costume is really fantastic. The whole figure does look nice but I just not sure I want to get it right now.

Wonder what the holes in his left hand are for.

Could be bendy hands. :dunno

That sounds right. Looking at all the pics it seems he only comes with that one set of hands.

Not a fan of bendy hands though, so that's a strike against him.

i too am unsure. 5 years ago id be all over it, but i moved on from lotr.

1/6 LOTR figures >>>> all other collecting for me still. Just hasn't been anything available for a long time.

Really hope we get lots of awesome 1/6 Hobbit stuff.

they are bendy hands. other art figures have them also.

:exactly:

all art figures have bendy hands. nicely detailed ones though. I don't mind them so much. it just takes a lot of time to make them look like they have bone structure vs just curving around whatever they're holding

Seems that Viking Playground is the cheapest. Although, I don't know how shipping figures in here.

Available sellers I found:

Can anyone recommend any other sellers? I've had good success with Vikings Playground in the past.

Don't forget about Cotwold Collectibles!

they have some excellent service. I've ordered from them quite a few times. the only thing I hate is you don't know how much shipping will be until you go through the whole check out.

For Viking Playground:
Cotswold has him up for $109 so save $10 by buying at Viking Playground. Are they safe? Never ordered from them before

One of the best.

^ this. viking playground is one of the best.

Monkey Depot:

Ordered from them A LOT. excellent service and excellent CS when I had to return something. shipping to me can be pricey (to me anyways) sometimes especially when I'm just buying small pieces, but I guess it makes up for their most of the time cheaper parts vs Toy Anxiety. but you can see shipping before you go through checkout

I'm hoping Toy Anxiety puts this guy up b/c they're shipping is always the lowest I ever pay

Yep. Forgot about them.

I've had success with Cotwold Collectibles, Viking Playground, and Monkey Depot.

I guess the question is which ships first and which is cheapest.

Finding out about this figure made my day yesterday, and it looks like today as well. :)

Although, the sculpt isn't perfect, you can tell who it's supposed to be. Can't say as much for Sideshow's lopsided attempt and Viggo.

Plus, I'm a fan of the book before I'm a fan of the movies, and this IS King Aragorn.

God, this is so awesome.

Strange, when i saw the large, blown up photo of his face, i hated it. His face looked fat. But some photos recently look ok. I still prefer polystone statues though.

Likeness is off and I don't care for the printing of the tree. Still I have to wonder if I could kit-bash this with the SSC Aragorn - sure the hair is not the same, but the likeness is better.
