? About Jawa Hands

I have long thought that Jawa hands were black gloves, but i recently came across a picture of one squatting in the sand that shows what look to be furry arms leading me to believe that they are black hands and not gloved.

The gloves were supposed to look like hands. And they had fur down the wrists.
The sideshow ones are pretty accurate

Ok, that's what i am coming to understand. That is the picture i was referencing. There's another one that shows more for up the arm.
