Sorry. Too good to pass up, there's anotherone. Ending in a couple of days I'll leave that alone if you want it!

LOL I know I have been watching them for weeks but I am too tight to pay more than £25 as the postage is £15.

I will do you a cast this weekend and it will be in the post asap Colin. :)

but I still hate you

hey guys! thanks to the snow corp for the great S.T. headsculpt. This is only my second ever paint job and 1st alien. I like the fact with S.T. he is pretty much un messupable. I started with a base coat of salmon buff (sorry no pics of in progress). Then added some yellow ocre with a feathery brush. Kinda just patted up and down with the brush lightly as well as rubbed with my finger here and there, then followed up with some burnt sienna using the same application method as the ocre. I finally covered over with a thin wash of the original salmon again.

I of course need to do the eyes and horns, as well as some shading around the eyes.

I'm actually pretty happy with it for being such a noob. The picture came out a little more yellow than it is in person.

Thanks agan Mark!

Chuffin eck thats totally cool and you really have got a move on, I had to re-post your images bigger as they are amazing!

Can not wait to see more, are you goinna spray the armour grey and give him the jedi mankini? As for the helmet... Hasbro boba???

BTW my son was looking over my shoulder as I wrote this, his comment! "Wicked" what more need I say mate, brilliant job.

thanks Mark and son! thanks crimsonbob and galactiboy. I give credit to the splotchy design of the character for how it came out so good. If it was a smoother design no way could I make it look good.

if i still have the hasbro boba i think that will be base for the helmet. if not I might use the SSC Jango helmet that came with mace windu.

I do want to get the armor grey like the cartoon, but man I am really bad at using spray paint I can't get it even and always leave runs and drips. i wonder if there is a way to dye it instead?

as for the jedi outfit, I think I'm going to wait and hope SSC makes him one day. :)

Spray cans are great but you cant rush it! shake the can loads and loads, then hold it a good distance from what ever you are spraying and move the can from left to right... dont worry if it has not covered it in the first go, just wait then do a bit more.. and a bit more.

I am desperately trying to get hold of some clone armour but darthgothikus keeps buying up all the clonobis LOL.

If I do manage to get some I will spray it up and if you like it I will send it over mate.

Hey mark, if you've got a throw away cast send him my way, I could take a crack at making him a helmet. Would look something like this:

:D

LOL guess were going to be seeing a lot of these figures over the next few weeks (Thanks for the head Dorgs!) might have a bash at a mankini if I get time tomorrow.

Ahh heck. Everything I type on this forum ends up sounding a bit dodgy!! I'm really a very normal, well adjusted member of society, and my doctors will back me up on that.

i think for the helmet I'm going to cast the SSC fett helmet, resculpt, then cast it again. this will be my first molding, casting and resculpting! this figure is a first of a lot of things for me.

so i tried the dye experiment using powdered Rit. It doesn't work. not only does it not work but it stains the plastic in different colors. some dyed in the correct grey but some of it came out yellow or brown!! i guess its off to the spray paint. i'll tae your advice ande patient and do lots of coats.

Haven't had time to do anything more than stick Dorgs head onto a Clonobi body... but I'm excited about this bad boy already! He looks mean!

I think I'll go the whole hog with him:
1) remove the cape
2) Split the Groin and Abdomen armour apart so I can thread the "Mankini" in correctly.
3) Spray armour grey.
4) Fix the tusk which I have already snapped! Whoops! (dropped the damn thing on the floor as I was trying to take pics - damn floppy bodies!!!!!!)
