Mine arrived today...broken pieces as well. Nothing that can't be remedied fairly easily though. Took out the Mauser too, as that holster looks and feels too delicate to handle its weight.
After I fix his tunic I'm going to try a body swap as well. I got my Hot Toys Classic Comic version Ironman in today also, and I don't want Doom looking like a shrimp next to him!

Positioning the mask with some dots of white tack on the chin, nose opening and sides definitely improved the appearance. It worked without needing to remove the magnet.

While I was at it I put a lump of tack on the neck post, not just to aid posing, but to also raise the sculpt a little because even without the fur his head still looked too buried by the armour and cloak.

Cool!

Let’s see …

Finnally for around to painting and decorating the throne but unfortunately I underscale the throne for my first attempt.
May try to re-print and scale it better next time after Christmas.View attachment 677673

Well, even though it is a little underscaled, I think it looks really cool!!
I’m looking forward to seeing pics of your next attempt, I bet it is going to look great!!

It really sucks the work that you have to put in to get out of this figure but he looks fantastic.

Mine came today.

I am really happy with him, there were no pieces broken off in the box or anything like that.

But yeah he is too short, but it is great to see from the pics of @Bgnyc007 and others above that with some ankle extenders he can scale well with Hot Toys figs.

Here are a few pics, I am looking forward to extending his height, overall a really nice release from a company I had never heard of …

Used kit ankle extenders from kit and filled around the ankles and filled in the calf armor front and back with blu tac. Without the blu tac the legs are too wobbly with the extenders on and he can’t stand without a stand. I’m doing the same mod with the nightmare deathstroke.

Great, thank you!

I extended his elbows and knees to be about as tall as the mvs superman body. I also made his neck longer. I think it looks better but it can still be worked on to be perfect. Here he is, next to a few other chars I have. He's a smidge shorter than ironman but taller than my Loki that I put on a sideshow body and is taller than spiderman with custom head.

That looks great, but I've never heard of extending elbows or knees before, what does that involve? Also interested to hear what other improvements you have In mind. The one's you've done so far seem to have resoved that squat look that the figure had.

Quick bump in the name of DOOM.

Just got this in today…and this was the only issue straight out of the box, the dreaded cape clasp. It’s definitely not as much of a disaster as I was thinking, thankfully. I’ll still have to “futz around and find out” how to get the armor straight and not break an arm accidentally.

…also, the belt holster might be made of the cheapest beef jerky ever (or Fruit Roll-ups), I still haven’t figured it out yet.

Update: I just looped the chain around the back of the button (for a quick fix) and the armor’s been readjusted. Crisis averted 😮‍💨

Thanks! I just removed the joints out of the sockets and extended them with clay. I also cut the magnet out of the neck and extended that with clay.

I also sewn the buttons for the chain down so they werent held down by a single thread. Now they arent wobbly.

Heres a few pics.

Looks awesome!

What clay did you use?

How did you know how far to extend the joints, did you just “eyeball it”?
