I got both too. Even tho they're both great figures Im much more in love with the classic. Remake Leon looks great but is kinda like a generic modern day soldier. The classic outfit screams Resident Evil at least for me.

Aside from the bright blue uniform Classic Leon does look better in person. I’d probably still rather get the remake version though just because I think I like the remake versions for both him and Claire better. Plus Ada is the remake version (unless they do a classic version of her too).

I'm too broke to afford the full figure, so I got the loose outfit from ebay instead. lol
I soaked the outfit in some black dye and this was how it turned out. Not a noticeable difference on camera, but it's definitely darker in person.
Just waiting for the radio and classic gun holster to arrive.

Maybe after (or a month before) Ada's release? I'm guessing RE4 is more likely than RE3 as this point though.
I'd be surprised if Capcom dropped Damtoys from handling the RE license. It appears to be doing really well.
