Wouldn't making the neck (and therefore the overall height) shorter make the head look even bigger compared to the total figure height? I was considering trying to do the opposite and make him taller to help with proportions 🤔😄
The way I see it, our jaws move so the height of a chin/jaw from the collar is a moving target, the tops of our heads never really get further from our shoulders.

Moving the head down could improve the proportions if the size is also making it sit higher than it should. The head may still technically be too large but it will appear to be sitting at a better height which sort of obfuscates the size issue. I definitely think it looks better sitting lower.

I found pulling the collar down and tilting head back helps.

This picture honestly makes it look even worse to me. For most characters you want the head to be about 1/3 of the shoulder width. Checking that should be a basic step in finalizing a product and honestly it’s unacceptable to me that they let this ship like this to the point I’m almost considering not converting my PO out of principle. How can you claim to be here to change the hobby and mess up something so fundamental.

Here’s some photo analysis that they SHOULD have done before saying this was ready to go. Notice how Heath’s head is more or less perfectly 1/3 of his shoulder width and you can see way more of his torso when the head takes up 1/3 of the vertical space in the frame. This is with reference photos of the character that are inclined to make his head look large vs a photo of the figure intended to make it look smaller.

Head height comparison, this one is much closer than the width:

It's so damn hard to find the rooted hair two pack. Except for eBay. I had to resort to a sculpted hair version. Hopefully one day I'll be able to score the premium set.

Got my Joker in today (standard version) it is amazing!!! But one issue on mine the eyes are misaligned I removed the eye plate on the back to see if I can fix it but turns out the thing that holds the eyes has two left sockets so one is raised higher because of it. I basically removed it completely and will be moving them separate. But other then that the sculpt, clothes and accessories are so good, I hope they learn from this and improve the eyes and other issues with their future figures.

Can you share what you did? Did it solve the problem? This is a common issue it seems

I removed the back plate by unscrewing it. I removed the jointed panel holding the eyes and popped the eye back in like normal. This is how it looks afterView attachment 628941

Wait hold up! So if you remove the panel with the stick under that the eyes are actually individual? Thanks for sharing that's actually really helpful.

This baffles me why didn't they just make the sticks longer and have separate ones? 🤦

That is what I'm thinking I'm sure the good ones some have gotten work fine but it works better separate. HT have the better eye system now just because they did away with the Pers system a long time back. I wish I didn't have to do this as spending anywhere near $350 or even $500 is not cool.

The problem for me isn't the height of where the head sits, just that it looks too damn big overall especially in comparison to his eyes (and shoulders when he's in just the shirt). BUT if it looks better sitting lower to you then that's all that matters 😊

I'm liking this fig more and more as I tinker with his stance.

The thing is, as dumb as it sounds given that they've included a big diorama, this figure clearly wasn't made with the jail outfit being the main focus, as that skinny body is clearly only there so that when he's got 4 layers of clothes on with the coat option (or 8 if you include folded over parts) it's clearly the only way to make it work with that much fabric sitting over it. It HAS to be a skinny body.

What they SHOULD have done for the two pack though was to provide a wider shouldered body for the shirt option, as you can see from your pics that each shoulder/arm should be pretty much the same width as the top section of his waistcoat next to it.

And it's just not. (And the head smaller too lol)

That is a lot better! Perfect. Now the yes move separate. But is there a chance keeping them loose like this can cause them to not be stable?

And this is my issue—you’re still paying essentially $400-500 for the jail cell version, which looks like a ridiculous bobble head.
