From those comparisons we can see that the extra height isn't from the legs, but from the torso. The neck even looks longer as well. Indications that the body was adapted to give a more natural riding position.
If you imagine his head inside the helmet in relation to his shoulders under the armour, it's tending towards giraffe-like. From the front it isn't bad because the helmet chin drops low enough to create the illusion of normality.
Mine will be confined to walking, so the easiest alteration may be adjusting the neck height by pulling the peg out to sit the helmet lower.
If I had access to photoshop, I could have demonstrated it.

Great pic, and I agree the helmet gap isn’t an issue at all. In fact in some respects it’s very accurate to the original costume helmets.

I know it’s off topic, but is that the Luke Endor version, or the deluxe? As I thought you’d never be able to get this pose because of the fixed neck HS. I’ll be really happy if it’s the latter.
