It’s a prototype to him, his job is to show extreme movement, that will never make something flattering. It’s similar to when reviewers go over articulation in review videos, it’s the most cringe part of a review. When someone raises the DX19’s leg up and out, bending it to no end, leaving permanent damage to the panels. I doubt he’ll handle a personal copy for his collection the same way. Atleast I won’t. I don’t grab my $1k custom Ledger sculpts by the hair like this, you’re asking for trouble.

I plan on thinning out the hair on mine as it’s too thick currently, so loose hairs and a bit of shedding doesn’t bother me much. I want mine to look like this -

you know what bothers me so much about this. even for the price you're still in need of modifying it to make it better

But that’s for just about everything though bro. The Wonder Joker suit needs modification / swapping of different suit parts. HT artisan Joker, the JND Bruce Wayne suit would need to be swapped to the Iris suit unless they end up making it accurate, I had to thin out the hair on the InArt Joker and it looks like I’d need to do the same with this version.

We’re perfectionists who simply cannot enjoy something left as is, because oh it needs this, and rightfully so. Why buy these things at these price points to not elevate them in ways the companies won’t. You know the InArt Phoenix Joker sculpts will find their way over to Black or Yuan as soon as they’re released. It’s inevitable. People have already sent their HT Pattinson Batman off for rooted hair despite InArt offering a rooted option. More and more people are going down the custom route with each figure that gets released. Instagram is a big reason for this, people used to only find out about customs through the custom freaks site, now you can’t be in the hobby without seeing custom work.

Sculpted Bruce Wayne for 1000$. Add a Batman statue for another 1000$. It's just a money grab, I doubt they last long in the 1/6 market this way.

Here's a dose of reality for JND: this product is more than twice the price it should be. That's why nobody's buying.

Honest question: Just looking at the figure, where could you possibly grab JND Joker’s head to move it around without potentially causing damage?

Are you not concerned about how the paint apps will hold up on silicone?

quite easy to scratch off im afraid. while trying to remove dust on my jnd arthur, i accidentally pulled some paint with just my finger on his chest because i had him out for awhile in the open before my moducases arrived and dust magnet. wasn't a fan

Yeah when companies like Queen and I think Infinity give you gloves for handling silicone busts I don't think just grabbing the Joker's head to move like they just showed seems right

jnd doesnt give you gloves for their statues. at least arthur fleck

yeah I didn't get any with my JND's either but some companies say to avoid touching silicone with your bare hands as it can degrade it or something along those lines I think

It’s something I would only touch / handle after a direct wash of hands. (But that’s how I treat any of my figures) Our hands carry a lot more oils than we realize.

Could see those oils building up, wearing away at the material over time, so best to avoid if possible.

In regards to thinning out the InArt Ledger sculpt, they’ve sculpted a big hair piece that sticks out from the back of the sculpt. This gives it unnecessary amount of volume behind the ears. It’s presumably to give you something to hold onto when removing the panel of hair to access the PERS but it’s an unflattering design choice that makes it limiting on how much thinning one can achieve before that unpainted plastic starts to show through the hair.
 
I guess from what I see, even though their Batman is just a statue this should just be a statue inside the armory as that's what this is a BW and armory display. Even so the Bruce sculpt is actually good in the video but again at $800 it's to much. I'll wait for InArt's version as I feel it will be better then this and hopefully accurate.

No worries. It’s a bit of a tedious undertaking, I constantly went back to it every now and then when I received my set back in August, instead of rushing to knock it out in one night. Coming back to projects with fresh eyes always proves beneficial.

Others may have a different process,
but the one I found most thorough and effective was -

Using scissors and small tweezers when needed to cut out excess strands and pull loose fly aways (there’ll be a lot of those).

I also used a sharp threading needle to dig into and pull at clumps and lift them away from the sculpt, then drag them out gently underneath the strands.

This removes a bit of bulk without disturbing the above styled strands you want to keep.

The glue isn’t very strong so it doesn’t take much effort to remove them, but be careful not to remove too much or you’ll have bald spots under the strands, the wrong move and you may find yourself removing too much rather easily.

A little bit of water on your finger tips will help removing hair easier, as well as restyling strands to your liking, though less is more and the more frequently you apply it, the more styling product will be removed. This you want to avoid unless you have adequate product to replace it.

A delicate hand is needed. As I stated earlier, InArt sculpted a big piece of plastic hair all around the back of the head so you won’t be able to get it perfectly thinned out to Ledger’s hair but you can still help it a bit.
