I’m an idiot for not getting that Forever Batmobile. ****
I was on the fence too about that Forever batmobile, but when I saw it lit up, I couldn't resist. I'm planning on pairing this up with the Mars Toys Riddler. I envision displaying this a little differently - all lit up with the canopy open and the Riddler tossing an explosive into it.

If you have the money and the space, the waitlist is probably a good idea, but you should probably do it sooner, rather than later. I've gone one for two on the waitlist just because I waited too long to get on it for one of them.

I will say, as somebody who waitlisted for the ‘66 and had it convert almost immediately, if you decide to go that route … it will more than likely convert.
Do it!
😉

I'm getting fomo on the 89 batmobile now lol. Still pretty good chances if I get on the waitlist for 89?

It’s hard to say, I’d definitely get on it if you want it, doesn’t hurt to try. This Batmobile is probably a must have for everyone who preordered it, if funds become tight for people, I think this would be the last thing they’d cancel. You can always get figures after release if you cancel, this will definitely shoot up to $4K + on the aftermarket.

honestly, I don't know what you do for a living but life is getting more and more expensive and even if this hobby is very cool, I think we need to take a step back and breathe. There are so many great things to do in this life.
Let's stop letting ourselves be influenced by the Fomo and all this constant super hype. Me too there are so many pieces that I would like but I prefer to concentrate on my grails. collect less but collect better.
I find all the batmobiles super cool but none thrill me like the 89. so this will be the only one.
Now if space and money aren't a problem, enjoy!

So, if this is definitely shooting up over $4K in value, then you have no reservations whatsoever about guaranteeing @vspectra an unconditional buyback at $4K if he gets successfully waitlisted and he's not happy with that purchase, right? ;)

I'm clearly just being sarcastic.

It will be interesting to see actual recognized aftermarket sales prices down the road. Given the huge edition size, I'm skeptical that the hardcore buyers with the means and desire to acquire this aren't already in.

Yea for me it’ll only be the 89’, Tumbler, and the Batpod. I won’t be purchasing anymore vehicles after I receive this. I’m trying to stick to TDK trilogy, some Batman 1989, some OT Star Wars, some Clone Wars, & some ROTS.

Give it time, there’s always new collectors late to finding out about a release that came out before they joined the hobby. This won’t be reissued, it’s a one & done. In 3 to 4 years time, this will be the most sought after Jazzinc product made. The HT was $2k for years, and I’m sure the 2.0 will still fetch a pretty penny after a couple of years.

We are all too familiar with people popping up out of nowhere asking how to obtain something when it’s no longer obtainable, seeing this does things to the brain.

The Batmobile 66 wait list converted relatively quickly for me too, within a few days.

For the Millennium Falcon cockpit (DX version), I've been on the wait list for a while and it has not converted yet - but I think the Falcon might have been released a long time ago so I might have jumped on the wagon too late.

@vspectra - I hope you realize that statement is a patently false claim that nobody on this planet can back up. If you're thinking of buying this vehicle, it's not crazy to think that you might not take a loss on it should you sell it down the road, but there are no guarantees. Despite the post, and to state what should be obvious, a roughly 3x rate of return clearly isn't definite. If it was, many of us that would dump all our stocks and other investments and buy this up for resale knowing we were almost tripling our money.

Excellent advice. Do what works for you, based on your own reality and facts, not wild claims.

Again, as @Rondesmo said, we don't know your own personal situation. For all we know, you could be a billionaire, periodically popping in here from your private island in the Caribbean. That said, you could also be barely making ends meet, and the opportunity of making money reselling this thing could be very appealing. In the interest of being able to sleep at night, I thought this should be clarified.

Anyway, best of luck with your decision - no judging here.

Nobody stated it as a fact, people take things far too literally on the internet. I don’t have a crystal ball to see into the future, but apparently that’s news to you. I don’t see anyone taking a hit on this unless they - damage it, lose the shipper, ship overseas, or just accept a low offer. If the market takes a hit on collecting, hold off on selling it until the ebbs and flows rise again as it always does. We have the old Hot Toys sale records to go off of atleast, so it’s not entirely a baseless claim to think this far more accurate one run release could fetch a lot more later on. He said Fomo is getting to him, he didn’t outright say, hey I wanna buy this as an investment to flip, everyone here knows the risks that come with this hobby, should go without saying. Sure $4k could be a bit of a stretch, but so was thinking someone would’ve gotten $2k out of the old HT but they did.

Thanks, I don't really buy these figures and collectibles as an investment opportunity anyway, more of just a fan of the designs and prefer to get them at msrp instead of aftermarket prices :ROFLMAO:. I skipped all of the other 1/6 vehicles since they're way too big for me and 89 would be the only one I'd get. :)
