Dragon Toy - The Dark Ruler 1/6 Scale

Okay - just ordered it.
Those pics look too damn epic, I know I have the old weta statue but this figure just has too much big dick energy to resist.....
Plus Sauron is one of my favourite fictional characters so I can justify it.

Back then, that figure was AMAZING!!! I still have it and am impressed by it. The cloth/weathered cape and the light up eyes....

I wonder if this will bring that feeling back of first getting Sauron 20 years ago.

I remember when I first got that figure in a "Lord of Darkness double-pack" with Saruman for Xmas. That was one of the best gifts I ever got.

Oh that's my mistake. I wrote GianToy in my original post when I meant Gundamit. They're not the same. I don't think GianToy ever got PO for this figure.

Anybody else selling this at the moment?

A quick updated after posing mine. Actually having the shoulder pads unglued allows for easy posing, not having to worry about breaking anything while moving the arms. The pads sit nicely on the figure’s shoulder so it’s no big deal. Some joints are nice and tight while some other are loose. I didn’t trust the ankle articulation so I put togheter a small base with crotch grabber so the figure can stand safe.
Once properly posed this looks magnificent. As I said earlier many details are missing but from a distance this looks straight out of the movie.

A short review…

It really does look good, mines on the way and I await it eagerly!

Still waiting on an invoice from Gundamit.

Yup SugoToys has him up for preorder, I'm getting mine for about $235 shipped, could be a bit more expensive though if you don't live in Australia or New Zealand.

The chainmail does look a bit ridiculous, I think I'll just remove it entirely even if I can't find a decent replacement, the figure will still look great and for the price I can't complain, I was thinking I'd be forking out at least $500 + shipping for a Sauron.

They also seem to have fixed the scale based on the measurement taken in the video review, he's apparently only 21 inches which for me is perfect. Can't wait to get him in hand.

Just learned about this, looks like I missed out on gundamit, won't let me order. I saw Sugo mentioned above but they're sold out as well.
Any other places I can reliably order this for the standard price?

Wow that sold out quick, I literally ordered mine yesterday... might be best to wait and see if gundamit gets more stock because the only other retailer selling for a reasonable price is TW which I wouldn't recommend.

Just what I’ve been waiting for. I needed a Sauron and was leaning towards the weta workshop statue.

But I’ll always prefer a articulated figure

Mine shipped. Paid it off Jan 14th. Shipped on the 18th and it's gonna deliver this week on Thursday.

When I ordered there wasn't the option for preordering, I had to pay full already (because it was like one week before release).
I did get a dispatch notice and a shipping number in my mail last week.

I just logged in to my account on Gundamit, and for some unknown reason those worthless a-holes "canceled" my order with absolutely no contact, and when I tried to use the "contact info" on their crap website, I got nothing as to any way to actually contact them thru email. So, I guess I won't have a Sauron in my collection. Total BS.

Did you receive the invoice without noticing? Most likely what happened. After not paying for 14 days, it moves to being cancelled. Happened to me before.
