Hot Toys - Kenobi Show - Grand Inquisitor

I was on the fence about this one and didn't preorder. Then it went on waitlist, which I joined. Still hasn't converted. This looks great, but I don't have the space, and I need to prioritize the Ahsoka figures.

Nothing character from a terrible show, won’t go anywhere near this.

I was thinking the same thing when watching the videos. Doesn’t make it a bad figure though

However, since he’s bald and the head has the neck attached, they wouldn’t have been able to do it as is currently. It would require a separate head and neck and some ppl don’t like that since you’d have a visible seam

I don't like messing with the moving eyes much because getting them aligned is a massive time suck. Would prefer they go back to PERS and just make the mechanism more durable.

Great character from a fun show, definitely getting near this.

wonder how many people will body swap with a taller skinnier body, add a more elongated Pauan head and maybe a custom helmet. a lot of modding but might get close to how he should look

I’m more interested in seeing how the USB saber works on this. Sideshow kind of showed it in their video but didn’t go in depth. Looks like there’s a power supply that clips on the figure or the stand. Curious how easy it is to hide.

Looks like the mech test Tony light up contraption. Cords feed on the outside of the arms and attach via batter pack on the back. Not ideal but curious to see how much brighter it could be. That was the offset but batter looks better now aesthetically lol.

it’s a beautiful figure, just feels like a different character than the Rebels version voiced by Jason Isaacs. I wonder if they approached him about playing the role ad he turned it down…

I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that’s exactly what happened.

Given how this character was used in the show, it would have been a massive waste of Jason Isaacs.

I had read at one point he was eager to play him in live action. I guess you never know what is true on the internet these days. He would have been so much better than Friend.

I think he has a thing against long/extensive prosthetics.

But yeah, felt like a totally different character. Grand Inquisitor in Rebels was menacing and a threat. This guy just kinda stood around and wasn’t intimidating.

Seems to be a museum pose character.. Not even the pose master Terry Smith could get a truly dynamic pose with this. Not for me, cool though!

Looks good. Only if they can do the 4th sister.

Yeah. Would be nice if the 4th sister and 5th brother would make it to preorder, so people can have a complete Inquisitor display. But with only half of the "team" I might just skip this and Reva.
