It looks good I can see the likeness here but it isnt as strong as the new IA figure. Its way too expensive I feel JND is the most overpriced stuff in the hobby for what you get.

Agreed on the first part, not necessarily on the second, but that's completely down to the individual I suppose. The level of realism sometimes surpasses the likeness, but when the likeness is there with that level or realism then it's worth the price. As I've said before, you can buy 1/3 Polystone statues for around $1100-1500, from what I've seen that seems to be the ballpark, so really, an extra couple hundred for the glass eyes, silicone skin, rooted hair, mixed media isn't that much more for the added depth that's added to a statue.

The likeness isn't completely off, but I do agree after seeing Inarts it's not as close to that. However, as a piece of a representation of Cavill as Superman, it looks very nice. I do hope they make the paint look better than just airbrushing, however.

I would say that it used to be the case until now with Prime1's Platinum Masterline Snape that $2200 for a 1/4 statue

I agree with you there, especially when you think about how Prime1 is also charging $2200 for their quarter scale 1/4 platinum Snape statue. I know they say the reasoning is b/c each one is done by the artist rather than the factory; but, when you compare that to other 1/3 pieces of the similar price range that come out looking pretty close to prototype quality, it's even harder to justify that on a 1/4 piece vs a 1/3.

I have never seen a silicone statue in person. What I see from the photos silicone doesn't adapt with the paint like polystone does,I guess that's why everything looks so waxy and washed out. Another thing why I have a side eye to JND is that we don't know how these pieces age. Most of us don't have special temperature controlled rooms. Let's see how this piece ends up, I still love it very much, but if something else shows up with a better likeness and price I'll think twice before I toss my coin.

The black is so much more subtle, in a good way.
The light blue is a huge contrast to the dark blue. Generally, Superman's suit appears mainly dark blue with subtle highlights in certain areas that are catching the most light. That looks mainly light blue with heavy shadowing all over. Looks cool but doesn't look BvS.

People on mad copium with this. JND is so ****ing stubborn, still no update on this. Looks nothing like the movie body, suit, and head.

Idk if I'm hallucinating, but that black shading on the suit looks too strong rn. It used to be bluer and less sharp.

It's blue shading but yes it does look strong. That's what I was talking about the other day about the contrast between the light and dark being a lot. I do think it is very light-dependent on how much effect it has. If you look at some of the images here it looks really dark.

Love the floating effect, its really well done. The likeness is one of their best IMO, I have issues with their joker and gadot but this does the job
