I noticed that too and I like it a lot.
Got my set in today and Katma Tui is easily the loser of the bunch. The weird '70's hairstyle I can live with, the tiny baby hands I can't. Awful.
Also, Cyborg Superman seems to have a bit of a pinhead and can't look down. At all.
I really like that. More than I thought I would, actually. Kinda wishing I hadn't cancelled my pre-order and stuck with my idea of only buying the Bat-centric characters.
Rats.
I think that Power Girl was a fluke for me. I went back to that same WM and found only the lone Blue Beetle that's been there for months.
The Target exclusive wave I'm torn on. If I find them, I'll likely buy them as I want to have a Brimstone for my shelf (box in the closet). I'm really not...
Yeah, me too. The figure turned out better than I thought it was going to. Her hands are a bit small and she could be a little more buff, but I think she might be my favorite DCUC female figure.
He's really great, easily my favorite Joker. A friend picked this one up for me, the only figure from series 10 I've seen is Power Girl. I picked her up yesterday on my lunch break.
I think I have almost everything released under DCUC and most of what came out as DC Superheroes. The Walmart exclusive lines and the price hike both caused me to become disillusioned and give up on DCUC.
For what amounted to about a month and a half. When I opened series 9, I also went...
I thought I'd canceled all of my DCUC orders. Wrong. Series 9 showed up this week. I opened the box to make sure everything was in order for a re-sell on eBay or something, but I ended up opening all the figures.
Now I'm hooked again. Le sigh.
Guardian is lame, they should have gone with...
Thanks.
A bit more:
I've been collecting forever, I just never stopped buying toys. The decline of McFarlane still weighs on me. I long for a return to the days when figures like Cy-Gor II were regulars from the company.
Mattel has priced me out of DC Universe Classics and just this morning...
I've been lurking on Sideshow Freaks for quite a while after recently getting into 1:6 figures starting with Hot Toy's TDK line. I'm beginning to weed out smaller scale figure collecting in favor of going all 1:6 all the time.
