I doubt they would re-release Leia in the near future. People have been hoping for a Bespin Luke re-release for a while now. But that hasn't happened.

I love my Bespin Luke set, but I’m pretty sure there’s a 2.0 coming. I’m guessing he’ll be announced some time this year.
But, yeah. It’s far too soon for A New Hope Leia 2.0.

Well, it’s an educated guess. I don’t work in the industry, but I’ve collected action figures for about 35 years. The things that lead me to this conclusion are the facts that recent/ upcoming releases from ESB abound (Vader, Yoda, Hoth Leia). But the key is noticing that Bespin Leia and Han are on their way. Combine that with the facts that Hot Toys has making V2 figures in their business model (Jack Sparrow DX, Diecast IM, Predator), Star Wars being a huge license they’re focusing on, and Bespin Luke DX aging rapidly; it’s only a matter of time. I predict V2 ships within the next two to three years.

Good and reasonable analysis. I hope this is the release order:

1. Bespin Han
2. Bespin Lando
3. Bespin Luke v2
4. Bespin Escape Leia (given how easy this is to make, it will probably be released in the near future).

We're way off the Leia topic but I still don't think they'll do a straight 2.0 yet. Maybe a semi-2.0 Luke Dagobah version with backpack Yoda parts.

I would actually love a medal ceremony version of Leia. But that probably won't happen anytime soon. If they do a Leia 2.0, it would be cool if they made the hair removable and there was an extra hair piece to make her look like the end of ESB.

I wouldn't have thought it possible before, but after seeing them make a Bespin Leia I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a Ceremonial Leia now too. Especially with it being such a memorable and iconic look.

I totally agree about the sculpt, looks incredible. The dress def needs work and I’ve also always thought the hands looked a bit “plasticy”. Now I don’t have this figure personally but for those of you who do, would you agree that her hands don’t look as good as the HotToys figures of today?

I've got Pepper Potts as well (MMS310) and the Leia hands are identical.

The sculpt is excellent but could be improved I think with a lighter complexion and slightly redder lips. HT seems to be moving towards that though - the recent Capt. America and Black Widow have lighter, more accurate complexions.

They could give us another episode IV figure if they did the presentation ceremony costume. The hair, belt, dress and shoes are different enough in my opinion to make it worthwhile.

I long ago made a comment that that 2018 was the year for the ROTJ Luke (which with the variant version I guess creeps into 2019 so this all could shift forward a tad) and that 2019 would bring ESB Luke 2.0; at the time Jack Bauer made favorable comments on the matter supporting that theory. Now I know his info isn't always perfect but he's historically had a pretty good handle on insight into HT, as sparse as it is. Now could that have changed in the meantime? Sure. But there's some "validity" to the idea that ESB is coming.
