I just got a bunch of derogatory hate mail because “someone” in this thread thought it would be a good idea to bombard my inbox as retaliation for accidentally posting in non banter. The worst part is that I was called retarded - this is heartbreaking considering I’m a special ed teacher.

Accidentally Bantering in the No Banter thread is bad enough but trolling the No Banter thread is the equivalent of rubbing another mans rhubarb, talking about Fight Club, and agreeing with someone who thinks TLJ is a good SW film..

Definitely an oddly large drop. I remember Spook of 2015 I got a little over $70 and I even missed 2 or 3 codes.

We are a lot that likes to complain... true enough.

But unfortunately for whatever reason you made the same 'legitimate' error more than once. Unless you're saying both the second and third times was in retaliation to someone/s calling you degrading/derogatory names? In which case I'm not sure which is worse, because there are a lot of us who are willing to be disturbed/woken up for the rewards, but not so much in relation to someone's petty games.

But I hope everyone here has learned what not to do, in both situations

Yep, I did make a legitimate mistake 3 times. As I mentioned, I had serveral screens up on my phone. 10 years here and I’m still not perfect. (as the other folks who thought they were doing the right thing.) A “friendly” email would have helped so much.

Fortunately/unfortunately I usually assume that there will be others who will notify the individual in question of their error.

But there have been those in the past who did not appreciate even 'friendly' messages notifying them of their errors. Unfortunately some have taken aggressive stances in response to their mistakes.

oh I remember last year. I lost a lot of good friends but that’s beside the point. Anything is better than “retard, illiterate, let’s fill his inbox up to harass to he gets lots of notifications , I want to “dox” him, curse him, shame on him. Those are considered “bullying” terms and actions in my daily work life. It really struck a chord. I really would have appreciated an email that said “hey, careful where you post- the hills have eyes.”

The thing I don't buy it that the people posting garbage in the no Banter thread are doing it accidentally. They know exactly what they are doing. Some entitled individuals basically think they should be free to do whatever they feel like doing regardless of how it affects others.

good grief man, unless I'm missing some edits here, I count no more than 4 posts since Spooktacular started that aren't directly a code for ONE DOLLAR, and they seem to come around the time a code was just posted or it just went expired. I'm sorry that wastes your valuable time. But then people want to spend that time coming in here to blast a guy for posting. I don't see anyone talking about non-code related "garbage" like you claim.
