Just wanted to share a little information here. So after I ironed the spots out and then was contacted by Sideshow I'd be receiving a replacement robe, I put the figure back in the box. It was delicately placed back in and laying upright. I went to look at the figure today and there was a new HUGE spot on it where the fabric was touching the clamshell. So it's interesting that it had nothing to do with being upside down, a bent knee or weight of other figures on top of it. So just wanted to share that info. If the robe comes in contact with that clear plastic, it's gonna leave an imprint. So yeah, if you're gonna store it in the box, use a piece of cloth or something as a barrier.

Thanks for the tip. Mine need to go into storage for a bit, so I will definitely repack accordingly. Cheers!

uh-oh. I better check my boxes tonight as I only opened up my boxes to inspect, then re-packed them until the emperor arrives. Thanks for the info

That's weird....but good info. Agreed, never to go back in the box once opened.

Hey guys... I've combed over the forum for the white spot on the royal guard robe around the knee. I have no white spot on my royal guard... but I do see small black spots along the sides of the robes going from the arms down on both sides of the arms ... there is quite a bit. I can't seem to show it when its red but have done a dark image of the robe and have circled them. I'm just wondering if any of you guys see what I see on your guards?

Yeah, I believe I saw one or two little darker areas on my robe. These are just things that are going to be present..with the nature of the fabric & colour. This all makes me think of the Voyager episode The Omega Directive. I bet if Seven stared at the omega particle long enough, she'd start to see imperfections. If we were all Borg on here, we'd never assimilate any of this stuff due to everything being so flawed lol.

It´s something like this?

Can you take a picture with the real colors?

How do you people find these things? You'all got good eyes.

Better question: Why do you people CARE to find these things??? I've never seen such absurdity in collecting.
The level of expectation for perfection has just gotten ridiculous. These are handmade items, and they are made of cloth. The material they chose is almost a velvet like material that has all kinds of imperfections, the way real cloth does, because that's what it is. The fact that now someone is taking pictures and altering the color JUST to see imperfections, I just can't believe that. Quick, check what it looks like in the another spectrum that you'll never see! I bet you can see even more when you look at a negative version of the image. :slap Yes, they are $200 figures, but they aren't magically created looking exactly like they stepped out of the film. They are made by hand. If there is a series of tiny dark spots the size of a pin head, then use some water to get them out. They are small enough that water will dissipate the mark into the surrounding cloth. The so called "stain" from the knee is just the material pressed flat and going the wrong direction. I can't believe people were returning them at first without even touching them to see what could be done. I haven't received mine yet, but I'll deal with whatever shows up. This increasing level of obsessive analyzation needs to stop. How do some of you guys even enjoy any of these if you are scrutinizing cloth material to this level?

If you are about to look on your collection everyday, then you don't want to see ****ing stains and stuff. Those figures aren't exactly "do it yourself" kind so it's perfectly fine to return it in case of any flaws. Nobody buy $200 figure to spend afternoon ironing. But of course, feel free to have low expectations and enjoy your damaged goods.

I don't mind people wanting their stuff to be without flaws - some can be easily fixed though, but they always ask for replacement, not necessarily the case here but other cases, especially with props. But on the other hand there are some of these same people who laugh at others who would like some collectibles to be more accurate. Different levels of OCD in the end...

Remember that when you finally buy your brand new Corvette. A few chips on the front bumper from being hand assembled ....hey, no problem!!

The twins arrived today.

Wife is out tonight. Looks like me and my son are spot inspecting, ironing, steaming, futzing and posing.

Meanwhile there is two weeks of laundry in hamper and a full suitcase from my return from business trip on Saturday.

Hope the kid isn’t hungry for dinner tonight.

Priorities!!!!
