I love playing with my dollies.
Was about object to the terminology but what the hell

Has anybody ever wait listed with Timewalker? I, stupidly, waited a bit on ordering Iron Spider and I just joined the wait list. Any idea how optimistic I should be? I'm fairly new to the hobby and have really grown to like their services. Would rather give them my money before going to Sideshow.

I think the current vernacular is "man-dollies", used like such: So you can put your hair up in a man-bun, go to your man-cave, and play with your man-dollies.

On a completely unrelated matter, I hope that they don't just leave Iron Spider with peg holes in his back when displayed without the Spider-legs.

I think you nailed it. I have my figures shipped safely to my work, and am sure to use a man-bag to get them home.

Depends on how many people cancel their orders and how late you joined. Hard to tell.

Technically, your money is still going to SS, no matter which retailer you purchase from in the US.

Valid, but Timewalker's been great for me and I enjoy giving them my business. It's not an anti-Sideshow sentiment, but a pro-Timewalker one.

What kind of upgrades? It comes with 3 heads, the "metal" arms, and all of those hands.
I don't see what they could upgrade.

Im surprised they are using cloth and not making him solid like an ironman figure too. I thought for sure he was going to be built more like the Mark 5, being a slimmer armored suit.

Armor would not allow Spidey to use all of his flexibility, plus the suit isn't metal in the movie.
It is still made out of fabric.

So it's actually the "cotton spider?" :lol what makes you think his suit was fabric?

It cannot be fabric or he wouldn't be able to breathe in outer space. And not just the mask or helmet as the whole suit is the same material/tech.

It looked like nano tech, just like mark 50. So IMO, there'd be no reason not to make the figure like Mark 50. That would be more movie accurate, despite sacrificing articulation.

It's disappointing that the suit doesn't have the lights on the body like the Iron Man suits, but then it'd have to be made out of plastic.

HT is more about how it looks. If they made it like an IM suit it would have massive gaps at the shoulders, elbows, knees and hips in any other pose other than standing straight with his arms at his side and everyone would be complain that it doesnt look like it does in the movie. I would rather have look like a metal (or whatever it is) suit that is form fitting than a IM suit trying to look like spiderman.

You're not wrong about that. But I think the gaps are more of an issue on the diecast figures, though they've closed them up on the more recent releases like the 46/47. The plastic Iron Man figures didn't have as much of a gap, but it would be difficult for them to make them look like human joints and it may have ended up like a big Marvel Legends figure.

As long as the material of this suit is designed to last, then I agree, I'd rather have that as well.

Yeah it suddenly dawned on me as I was watching the movie that the figure was missing those lights. It's still a great looking figure without them though, and it's likely most of us wouldn't use them much anyway, just like with most of our other lighted figures.

This is exactly what I keep coming back to as well. I honestly don't get it. Iron Spider doesn't have functional paneling where the armor slides across or over each other. It literally behaves just like a fabric suit, except it's nano-tech and shiny.

Obviously we're talking about CG and make believe materials and technology. But he moves and the suit moves exactly the same as it did in CW/Homecoming.

If the iron Spider-Man suit was nano tech then the mk47 would have been. Since we saw the iron spider suit in homecoming where he wore the 47. It behaved nothing like the 50 I’m the film either.

Unless my eyes have gotten that bad, this look very similar to the nano tech of Mark 50
