Especially when you can literally buy a $35 unlicensed sculpt with fantastic paint application (Eleven's work for example).

Do you have those photos of the touch-up you did? And any rundown of the work you did on the full repaint would rock.

And here is what I did sorry for the bad photos I don’t have my SLR with me.

Bond:

Obviously on Yunsil. I used the Coulson torso with regular narrow shoulder arms and replaced the neck ball peg with a short one from a regular so the long neck sits deep inside.

Hands are from Han Solo but I did use the big chief shoes. Watch and ppk (not shown) I already had better versions of. Big chief did not succeed in giving me the best of the best on Bond.

I repainted some definition into his lips to accentuate the likeness was darkened some tones around his eyes repainted them brown a bit darker (they were too light). Eyelashes and whites are still sloppy the eyes were painted so bad I need to fix that still

I also painted the thin black line between his lips. They left it off.

I also redid his eyebrows. Aside from being sloppy they were an inaccurate shape even the prototype had them accurate I don’t know what happenedView attachment 384827View attachment 384828View attachment 384828View attachment 384829

The light up base is outstanding! HT should learn from this! Switch on the bottom BUT touch panel on the side! God job!

Thanks fellas.

I’m definitely happy with the head now. The post of the tweaks I did that was bumped definitely applies.

I’d say eyebrows and eyes and eyelash precision (which again is hard to see without a macro) was the most important to capture here.

The main difference on the eyework this time besides giving him upper eyelashes was to have the iris slightly looking up. This makes a huge difference for likeness it also fits the expression they gave him more which is pretty easy to see in all the reference pics of Sean with this expression he’s looking up a bit. I think giving him the deadpan look ahead didn’t make sense for any kind of expression.

Plus not having the eyes too light or just sloppy and misshapen in a general way radically transformed the sculpt.

The rest is subtle shading tones (they need more shading tones in their sculpts) retextured skin without the paint being so gooped on did a lot to help.

And the 100 percent most overlooked element for likeness of course is eyebrows and Sean’s are so distinct I tried to get them more subtle and more accurate shape

The eyebrows were also pretty bad on the stock

Another big thing is they got his hairline wrong at the temples

Thanks for giving me some motivation to post him! I don't know if its getting older or just being over it but it's so damn hard to find the motivation to do anything anymore lol. I'm happy i did fidn the motivation to repaint it. I'm happier with it now it's a great sculpt.

I'd like to do it again some day and try and get it even better but I am not anxious to do this again on this sculpt for a very long time.

I also am meaning to get a macro lens so you can better see detail, so apologies for the lack of detail shots

Fantastic results you have there, Raymond! You are being modest in lacking a macro lens to show the details…your shots are already extremely up close, unless you wanted to show the corpuscles and capillaries on the skin! Also, the Yunsil suit is just plain gorgeous, but it goes to show how a few extra C-notes can really be a game changer. Changing the body also did wonders, as physique, IMO, is 50% of the figure.

Thanks man! I should have also noted that I upgraded the body again since December with the worldbox narrow shoulder medium build body

I do dremel away and insert a neck plug on these bodies to make them fit neck sculpt but they are the most proportional body on the market and look especially good with suited figures.

Depending on the figure I also dremel away the strange little man genetalia too. I did it for Connery. Poor old chap.

I did try that body on the big cheif suit too and sadly it did nothing to improve it as the shoulders on that suit are just too narrow

The yunsil suit is a thing of beauty.

It's really day and night, just, if I may- maybe irises could be bit bigger?Specially right one looks bit small, or maybe too much up.But maybe I'm wrong.

Probably the only one here, but I don't like what you did to his eyes. He looks little dumb and bleary-eyed now and lost his Connery typicall charm. Sorry, nothing personal of course. :) Happy you like your figure now more, each to his own.
