Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Depends on which version of the Hot Wheels you're looking to get. One was more detailed than the other releases. There hasn't been a 100% accurate Ecto-1 released by any company as of yet.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

I got the 1/18 hotwheels Elite delorean. Its pretty much bang on, its just the ride height that is wrong and the rear fins should be black.

A little bit off topic diamond select next build a set is the firehouse for ghostbusters. It's not same scale but could be cool bacground piece for the ghostbusters & ecto-1

Blitzway sports figures ?? i thought Enterbay does sports figures?

Hasn't this guy been in the 1/6 game for years?

I used to like his reviews, he just comes off creepy now undressing the female figures and replacing their bodies with big large breasted bodies

Homey clearly doesn't know what he's talking about.

He's at the Bluefin booth, and thinking everything he's seeing is made by Blitzway, but he's showing stuff from Storm Collectibles and Iron Studios and Bandai, thinking it's all Blitzway.

Someone points it out in the comments, but it's clear he doesn't know what he's talking about.

I wanted it, then I thought the Delorean and Tumblers were a it big and this will be enormous, then I no longer wanted it.
Now I want it again.

I'm going to need a bigger place.

Bummer. Michael Crawford and ToyArk--who take lots of detailed shots finished up with Blitzway on the first day, which is why we don't have more high quality closeups. But the ones you took today are really nice, and help to give us a better impression of what we might expect in-hand soon. They do look really good, as I figured they would. Thanks!

Actually, I updated Blitzway after they put out the two next to the car. The other two were still in the front seat. Egon is still tough to see, looking at the engine, but Ray looked good. It's not perfect, but it's good...

A couple new shots are at the end of the Blitzway page:

Couple other things. The Bluefin/Blitzway/Plastic Model/Storm/etc. booth wasn't very well laid out, with some of the stuff actually in spots with other stuff. Still, you should know that Blitzway isn't "known" for sports figures. Or you could be smart like me, and dump everything but Blitzway into misc to avoid looking too stupid :D

I chatted with Blitzway about pricing - not sure if anyone has mentioned that yet. Their response was interesting. They said "it will be between $1000 and $1500..." and then, after a pregnant pause, "probably closer to $1500". Ouch.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Thanks Michael. They do look good, about on par with Durden from what I can see, as I expected. The $1500 price would probably be too much for me, which would be a bummer.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

I do find BW placement of figures (in the car, looking into hood) odd as SDCC would be their first reveal of GB Production pieces. Maybe they wanted to place the spotlight on the Ecto –1 and have the figures “take a seat” (no pun intended), but I’m sure many collectors would want to have a better look at the figures as they are closer to “in hand” than the Ecto 1 at this stage.

And good luck to them. I'm out at $1500. May the hardcore fans have something good to look at.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Will have to see what it looks like when it's finished.

But, if it's anything like the figures that may not be until it ships...

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Curious what the HT vehicles were priced at?

This:

The Batman vehicles and Delorean were around $700 max I believe. Though someone said they estimate the new Batmobile at $2K, which would be insane.

I have have the DeLorean and black Tumbler.

And I was expecting this to be touching $1k, but a fifty percent + margin for that estimate is crazy, IMO

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Glad I'm only in it for the four pack. No way I could spend over a grand on a car I don't even have room to display.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Well if the $1500 price is true, this will be a flop

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

I’m silly enough to drop $300 CAN on HT figures but I don’t know at what price point (product vs dollars) I would pay for a vehicle. Lets put it this way even if Ecto-1 was $500 US, I would still see $500US and not the 1/2 price (if price is $1000) that I would be saving.
