That wouldn't work out either though. B/c then collector's would think that every time they spent X amount, they'd get a $50 code.

OR

There would be folks who are mad b/c they would've spent X amount through sideshow had they known that it meant getting a $50 promo code.

I didn't think I was getting one and I was fine with that b/c I only order through SS for exclusives. If I never got one, like other's have mentioned, I would've just said to my self "oh well, that sucks" then moved on. To my surprise, I got one on Saturday, so maybe SS is just sending them out in waves?

There have been ppl who have received a full figure for FREE from sideshow along with their purchase for no apparent reason at all other then being a customer and there wasn't this much of "unfair" talk :lol

I am sure there is a threshold/requirement. Usually these codes are tied to specific items and cannot be used for just anything.

It remains to be seen if SS will be doing box codes this month, since they are sending out physical post cards currently. Also, the new "month" just started, so it may be some time before there are any box codes.
 
I asked for a code, because why not. Here is the answer from ssc:

"We do apologized but this code was distributed to a select group of dedicated customers who have an established account history with us. Collectors who received the code hold accounts that met a specific set of criteria at the time the list was generated."

Interesting, maybe it was just based on when you created an account. I feel like there's been a few different companies that have sent things out lately basically saying "you've had your account since xxxx, here's a coupon".
