I wouldn't be surprised if there was some shill bidding invovled... the head is nice, but it's not "in stock" and the listing is unclear if you'd be actually buying the head pictured or something else. Not to mention the photo quality is so poor I can't imagine anyone being ridiculous enough to spend that kind of money.

Even a top-end painter wouldn't charge that much. It seems fishy to me.

This is the modern life sculpt painted by Paul prentice over on FB (darkstarcustoms) this is what's under that PS ebay picture to add the hair and filters

Im not sure who is crazy enough to bid on the sculpts auction when you can order it through them for about £200 cheaper than what that auction is going for lol

yeah, something is up then, because while the sculpt above is nice, it doesn't have the same level of likeness to the actor as the "enhanced" photo on ebay.

Think I'll stick with the £19 Brother Production. :lol
Factoring in delivery it's £385 cheaper than that ML one on Ebay - enough for a couple of complete Hot Toys' figures!

Lol at 'factoring in delivery'
I like what you did there :)

My first post here...

I just pre-ordered my Modern Life TOM HARDY as Max head directly from ML for $300 with a 4 installment payment plan, so that is definitely the way to go. You can contact Modern Life directly to have more infos [email protected]

I also Pre-ordered the Crazy Racer from KG. In a world without Fury Road action figures, this is a dream combo mash-up for me. I also plan to order MR. E's Fury Road Max boots to swap out with the Crazy Racer's boots (which are the only problem I have with the costuming on that figure and are screaming non-screen accurate to me).

Here are some more pics of the ML Hardy head (before the bloodied Fury Road paint job) not shown in this thread from the Modern Life's Facebook page...

I love that such an insane movie has brought out the truly insane to even consider spending $350 for a head sculpt... and listening to random, unknown posters to boot.

We suddenly have so many choices. I'm certain more headsculpts will follow.

You've gotta be kidding me...you would think they would make more money if every single person who wanted one would buy at a ~$60 price tag as opposed to a handful at $300+. I'll stick with my Rahmier sculpt.

Its worth whatever someone is willing to spend, fine art is a case in point, The picture below is the painting No. 5 by Jackson Pollock

It sold for 140 million dollars :cuckoo:

$312 ($300+$12 shipping) pre sale opening.

Price jump to $332 ($320+12) after that.

Right. It was $300 for the first 24 hours only of the pre sale opening. I was told it would jump to $350 plus $15 shipping after that 1st day special.

They told me $365. is that what you are paying?

They told me the PRE SALE price of the head is $300 plus shipping cost of $15. The $300 was a special price for the first 24 hours of the pre-sale opening only, then the price would be jumping to $350 plus $15 shipping cost ($365).

I might pay that for a complete painted head of Immortan Joe with real hair, but not for Hardy. You guys have pushed this too far. And the few who buy it will be pissed as hell when you offer this sculpt in 4 months for $65 a pop.

One of few who bought it might be the one selling the (illegal) copies for $65 a pop and raking money later! :D
who cares....right? it was not licensed to begin with.

Agree Wor-Gar.

The guys paying the +$300 asking price are encouraging this company to continue charging ridiculous amounts for a 1/6 head-sculpt.
