Just got a call from the courier. Mine is arriving in about 30mins. Time to scream at MC.

You might be able to just refuse delivery and have them send it back so you can get a refund without paying shipping. But I don't know if 3As customer service wants you to ship them back there.

True, but I'm still abit reserved about this figure. I'm really curious and want to see the good and bad for myself. I waited all this time and I would regret it If I didn't at least hold it in my hands. Plus I maybe able to just overlook at the issues. A hopeful just.

Haha I just picked it up from my courtier as I typed this. Wow No.3 on the box. Noticed a green strap around the box too. That never happened in the past. Maybe to prevent it from being opened before it arrives at destination but I doubt that would stop anyone at all.

My friend was a 3aa member last year and managed to order this for me with a slight 15% discount so hopefully that could just swing my decision to keep.

Anyways here goes.....

I used sticky tack on both hands lol... there's no way he can hold it without some sort of support

Look how his knees bend in when you put his feet too far apart as opposed to the NECA one which looks like they are actual human knees that support weight.

Also, how did you get him to hold the weapons? Is he mostly just balancing it in his left hand. I can't quite tell but it doesn't look as thought his right hand is actually holding the gun handles.

Whatever works!:clap

It's a great looking figure and it's tempting to keep but when I think that his cost as much as the AoU Captain America, which is beautiful or more than twice as much as the NECA Chief which is stable and fully articulate (and can, ya know, hold the weapons and poses), it's hard to justify keeping it.

I don't really "get" the LED lights on the figure. They just don't really work on him.

That 1/4 NECA MC looks solid as **** next to the 3A MC, is there a way to shrink that to a 1/6 scale? Geeez! Gotta admit though, the 3A MC looks good in certain angle, but I'm crossing my fingers for a return/refund with minimal to no shipping cost.

The only thing that would make me happy at this point would be a partial refund without having to ship the thing back. Of course that's just as unlikely as them actually fixing this guy in a rerelease.

God damn it. Spent the whole fricking day messing with chief. It just won't stand on its own long enough and I don't want to use a stand either. Grrrrrrr exactly the same issues everyone is talking about. All threeA had to do was spend half an hour on it to know it had to be recalled back.

The damn magnets are inserted the other way round. My guns are stronger when I reverse them to the other side. How can they miss this out. In the game, looking at chief from the front, the gun handle sticks to the left, but it sticks better on the right on this figure.

A magnet even came out of one of the shoulder pads. These issue has been happening from day one. Use a stronger glue!!!

Beware of the piece of rubber flap between his legs. Covering his arse and groin area. Again, weak glue, one side of mine has pealed off out of the box!

After thinking hard I was going to keep it even though with all the fleas. However it can't stand on its own for long enough is the final straw. Will get in touch with cs later. Makes me want to cancel the rest of the line now.

Saw this on Facebook:

Design killed Master Chief.

1. The thick rubber under suit is made by gluing a top half to the bottom " trousers". This severely restricts movement at the hips. If they made the bottom trousers in 3 parts , groin , left and right leg , sacrificing aesthetics for articulation, the hip might have some improved movement

2. An extremely weak hip ratchet joint is used that is unable to overcome the resistance provided by the thick rubber undersuit. A VERY VERY stiff ratchet joint to replace this will help regain some articulation in the hips

Given this info, maybe someone can figure out how to mod the hip joints to be usable?

That looks good I'll definitely be trying that. Still boggles my mind how acceptable problems like this are in this industry. I mean christ you're dropping several hundred dollars, whens the last time you spent a couple hundred on something and weren't completely satisfied.
Baby steps...

Someone on the 3A forums tightened up the shoulder joints:

Linwoodmark you don't still have the model file do you? i've tried finding it but with no luck, wanted to do noble six for ages
