Give Iron Man 1:1 an ES!

I've order this on Flexipay and would love for an ES of 500... I'm actually annoyed it hasn't had an ES set yet!

But I can see SSC & Dusty's point... Her posts have left a ringing of buy the Terminator life-Sized figure...

However, I did think this item would be more like the Endoskulls, limited to 500 and having a clean and battle-damaged one. If Sideshow released a BD one, I'd definately cancel this one for that!

I am not privy to exact the reasoning behind edition size decisions, but I would assume it's because it's so awesome that both Sideshow and Stan Winston Studio (and probably Marvel too) want everyone who desires one to be able to get it :chew

Think of it as 'Inclusive' with a REALLY long ordering window

And believe me when I say it's REALLY awesome, I drool everytime I walk by the prototype

my guess is that with a way expensive piece like this, they wouldn't want to produce too many. that would surely make the ones on the market worth way less if the popularity dies. i would think they'll be im 1:1 busts as long as people keep buying them. when the buying surge stops, so does production.

Here's what it comes down to with this one: Simply put, if you like it, order it. It's totally worth it for lovers of the character and film to have it staring at them from their shelves (or being used as a nightlight ).

Honestly, if you are a 'scalper' or 'flipper' or only want to buy it because you think you'll be able to sell it after it ships or after the film is released for 5 times the price, you may want to skip this one. It will be available for the foreseeable future, just as the Endo 1:1 scale replica and other, similar prop replicas that have no set edition size, although not FOREVER

i agree as well. i ordered it cause it looked fricken sweet and want to have it in my collection. i would think that only people that want this regardless of the edition size would be willing to pay that amount of money.

I recall Amy from MR being on RS all the time up untill just recently when MR lost the SW liscense...so there goes your theory right there, and I know for fact GG is involved with Q&A's on GGC all the time. As far as ANSWERS go...there really wasnt one. "Its open ended and were not gonna change it"...wow what a answer. The truth that SS just likes to milk these high end items for every cent would have just been better. Hardly none of SS high end 1:1 bust have edition sizes, and that whole we want it to be as open as possible so all IM fans can get one.....I bet theres more then 1250 IM fans that wanted the SIM but coudnt get one.

First, if you don't consider these other 28 busts as high-end, then that is a problem right there! Most of these busts were $400+; if that isn't high-end, then none of them are. Secondly, I listed 30 busts with only two of them open-ended... I did not list the IronMan bust because that is the topic of discussion, therefore, 30 busts, 2 open-ended. I can do math! Would you like to debate some more???

Apparently you can't and you are an accountant! Go count the number of busts in my list and then the number listed with OPEN and if you do it real good with a calculator, it will come out to 30 and 2!
