any tips of how to get that discount

I finally got the discount code today after three days of trying. All I can say is I added today to the cart using buy now, went back to then main page and left my browser alone most of the day. Popped back in and the pop up came up asking for email and sent me the 20% off offer.

What code is that?

It's not a code, actually. What happens is you submit your email address in the popup, they send you an email with a link that is good for 20% off your entire order for two weeks. You click the link and it took me back into the main site and the discount was applied to the order in my cart (Yoda). I could probably have added additional items to my cart, but didn't try. I am not 100% sure it is just in-stock items or if pre-orders might work. My guess is that it is in-stock product (and probably stuff that isn't moving very well)...

After much thought I am going with the Cyberman version. The price is a little lower than the SSC version and it is completely done top to bottom. The level of accuracy is also unmatched.

If you're on the fence to buy this I say save your money. Not worth it at all. First I got a bad one with crazy eyes, he looks and feels very cheap (maybe made of pvc). I don't know why they would even remotely think to use printed eyes on a 2K+ piece.

Wow, glad I didn't order. Sorry but It looks like a right piece of crap in those pics. Is it all plastic with just a heavy base?

Jra it does appear to be. MR that is correct, base is poly and Yoda is light and feels like plastic. As new collectors enter the game I feel their expectations are getting lower and they think pieces like these are great. The older collectors have been spoiled when SS was king.

I totally agree with you there. Are you going to send it back?

Sideshow cannot put straight eyes on anything life size I'm convinced of it.

Thank you for sharing this.

BTW in this pic Yoda looks more like an animated version than the screen used puppet... :(

In a heart beat. I need to stop giving my money to them, enough is enough. I hope one day they take their QC seriously and try to make quality products once again.

The paint job makes it look more like a movie theater lobby promo item than a high end collectable. I will be really curious to see what this will end up looking like with a repaint though.

Sorry to see that you were unhappy with your Yoda, Mr. Zero. Got mine the other day and I love it. Maybe you're just miffed about the wonky eye on yours (which is totally not cool and should be replaced no problem), but I think it's unfair and inaccurate to say that Yoda feels and looks cheap in person.

The head and body are made of a very firm, but slightly flexible (rubber?) material that feels and looks great IMHO, and better than if they went with polystone because it gives off a more natural, organic look that polystone wouldn't be able to achieve. Sure Yoda is lighter than the base, but he definitely has some weight to him, and with the figure on the base, the thing's very heavy. Would've loved glass eyes on him, but the eyes they went with look really good, with a nice, even glossiness to it. You'd have to be a couple inches from your face to tell that they're decals.

I was worried by some of the pics that I wouldn't be happy with the paint on Yoda, but for a factory paint job it's pretty good, with some subtle blending of different shades. I think the base is painted pretty well with a few different shades of browns and greens. Sure the base paint is muted, but I think it accurately represents the murky, muddy atmosphere of Dagobah. The hair is also laid very nicely. As for the clothing, the material is really great and Sideshow did an excellent job on weathering and aging the robe.

Overall, I'm really, really happy with it. Sure, if someone tackles a repaint and puts some glass eyes in there, it could look even better. But I don't think it is at all necessary, because as it is, it is a really excellent piece to add to your collection.

I respect your opinion and glad you're happy with what you got. I on the other hand I am not and has nothing to do with the bad eye. Those printed eyes are horrible and don't look good at all and IMO he looks cheap at the 2.5k price tag. That's why Sideshow will stay in business for a long time, low expectations for the money.

What good pictures can do for a piece is amazing!

I have to go with mattman6886. I like it very much and he looks perfect in my collection.
Ok, for that price glass eyes would be better, but overal the eyes look very good.
