Since I've had the MMS136 displayed alongside the DX13s he's always looked pinheaded.

The difference between the MMS238 and MMS136 is quite significant:

So I put the lesser damaged MMS238 on:

Congrats, he sure is a great fig.

I pose my 136 in front of the 238 to avoid the pin head look of the 136. the Tech Noir is still one of my fav figs.

No news from HT about a possible Kyle Reese fig.:gah:
Personally I think that fig is a dead duck now.

I still don't get a pinhead vibe from MMS136. 117 yeah, but not 136 because Arnold was bigger in T1 and the jacket looked huge even on him.

That Kyle Reese figure is coming... Think it will be announced in February

The MMS136 is definately not pinheaded, this picture shows with elegance that the giant head is too big even for the bigger body.

It doesn't look too far off.

Is the MMS117 really that pinheaded? While I can agree that Arnie didn't have the same physique anymore I am much more pleased with the proportions on that figure than the newer DX13 and MMS238 bobble heads that seem to suffer from a mild case of hydrocephalus. Most pictures make it look worse than it is, but still.

I had hopes for Reese, I figured like many others that HT would make it a Biehn double header with Reese and Hicks, but the new Alien/Aliens Ripley seems to drag out so long that any extra consumer draw from the MMS238 release is dissipating quickly.

Well I think you've illustrated perfectly that the MMS136 proportions are fine.

However yes I do maintain that the proportions on 117 are completely off and he very much looks pinheaded. I think its plain to see if you compare it to a full-body shot screengrab from T2.

136 gets off the hook because Arnie was indeed bigger-bodied in T1 but also he wore that massive punk jacket which allows the brain to forgive or not see any inexactitude there may be.
117 on the other hand was in the first place given a body that is too big for T2 and also wore an outfit that did not hide this fact due to how relatively form-fitting it is. So the body looks overly round and large which in turn makes the head look too small. And the neck didn't help by being shaped kinda like this /\

DX13 may not be completely right either and MMS238 certainly isn't but if I have to take a wrongly proportioned T-800 figure I personally would take theirs over MMS117's any day. I can't look at a stock 117 now, I think it looks comical.

Vintij will delight in reading this post.

I agree with a-dev and anwe. There is no way the MMS136 is pinheaded. Unless you're Barry Bonds, your head isn't going to increase in size proportionately to your body when you bodybuild. Not that the head on the MMS136 is too small to begin with, but Arnold's head should look a little smaller on his body compared to us mortals. Putting the MMS238 head on the MMS136 body just makes him look normal size.

The BD head from the Tech Noir figure seems slightly smaller than the Tech Noir head to me

I never thought the Tech Noir head looked pinhead but i did think the BD one looked a bit small

Oh indeed, the head-size discrepancy has become annoying. While none have been as large as the Hamurger head MMS02, they're gradually getting there. DX10 was slightly bigger than MMS117, DX13 was bigger than DX10 and then the MMS238 heads ended up slightly bigger again.

Makes you wonder - if they make Kyle Reese - how big will his head be? And will it look ridiculous next to MMS136 from the era of smaller headsculpts? And those are 2 figures we'd all want to display together.

The only bodies that make the mms238 hs look normally size are the Mos and Zod bodies.
Hot Toys sculptors made the head significantly bigger but kept the ttm20 type bodies probably to not upset the collectors.
They should have changed the bodies too.
