looks pretty fantastic, thinking about selling off the phase 2 rex to fund this guy...

Mine just shipped, should be in Ireland on Wednesday. I sold my phase 1 version to get this guy. I really don't like phase 1 helmets!

I admit I haven't been to those threads, so I can only go on my experience of ordering 2 or 3 times a year from SS. Maybe SS just likes me better than you guys?
I haven't had that problem. I got my armoury locally and my Robocop while I was in Hong Kong. The longest I've waited I think was 4 days between payment and shipping on WS Black Widow
All this "sold my Phase 1" is funny, because I bought a spare phase 1 helmet from the Deluxe Veteran Clone to modify for this Rex release. Not sure I'll do that now with Arc Echo and Fives coming. I used to prefer the Phase 2 Helmets, but these days I prefer the Phase 1. Phase 2 feel too much like cheap stormtrooper knock off's.
Oh, and mine's shipped too.

Was up in the air cause I prefer the phase 2 helmet and funds were tight at the time. I also was hoping they'd make another version since most clones came with both helmets. I felt bad though since Rex is my son's favorite Star Wars character (he's 9 now) so this was po'd the minute it went up.. I was thinking of trying to find someone who could custom paint a phase 1 helmet for me just too have it (my son would be happy) even though the armor is different it wouldn't matter to him... Anyone out there with the skills to paint who likes to customize?? Mine shipped and I'll have him Wednesday. I missed out on phase 1 as I procrastinated too long...
I don't think it will be too hard if you get hold of a spare helmet. I grabbed the Veteran one because the weathering should already match the rest of the figure so only the blue markings need be added. I plan on cutting a stencil to match his Phase 1 design and then sticking it on the helmet. It's just a matter of painting inside the cut out then. The hardest part I think will be colour matching the paint. I'm not expert either with customisation. In fact this will be my first (other than buying replacement parts or custom parts made by others, but that hardly counts).

I never liked the phase 1 look. Star Wars to me is the Original Trilogy so I liked the fact that the Phase 2 helmets are closer to the OT Stormtrooper buckets. I always wanted Phase 2 Rex as Phase 1 never fit in with my display. I only have phase 2 buckets on display.I haven't had that problem. I'm also waiting for phase 2 Rex because all 3 of my clone commanders are displayed with their phase 1 helmets so that they all look the same and I also prefer the phase 2 helmets because it's much more close to the Stormtroopers and it brings a bit of character to each clone commander.

Based on the YouTube reviews he seems to have turned out pretty good. But shouldn't his pauldron/kama be more weathered? Seems like some dirt/scuffs/fraying etc would look better given with the current state of his armor.
Why does he look clean? SSC photos seemed to show a more weathered look. Kind of disappointed...

Are you sure your looking at the same figure as I am? Looks pretty battle damaged to me, where is the version you were expecting..., I'm curious to see the difference now?

The kama is pretty clean, but it appears that way on the proto shots too so...no foul there.
The pauldron doe appear a little less weathered than the proto, but not by much....that video review make it look pretty good. I'll see for myself next week....

I can agree that the kama could be dirtied up a bit, but the rest of Rex looks fantastic. Can't wait to get mine!!
