This is my first Spider-Man HT, mostly because it has a suit that could be considered "default" being closest to the comics... I love the way it looks, and I managed to get one that doesn't have vag chin or black stuff on it. My only complaints are that it isn't nearly as poseable as the promo pics suggest, and I know the wrists are supposed to be connected to the suit arms, but neither of mine were when I opened it. But It really doesn't matter much to me because it's a good looking figure all around. I wonder what spidey's suit will look like when the makes his debut in the MCU?

This suit takes to gorilla glue very well. No need for replacement!

I'm in the same mindset with my figures. I don't really attempt or even pose my figures dynamically as I am just too afraid of breaking a figure or ruining an outfit.

I just received my Spidey as an xmas present and while my figure did have a few slight issues out of the box, I have to say this is the best Spider-Man HT has made thus far.

The issues I had with mine and the rest of my two cents on this figure can be found in this brief overview I did...

Will be putting out a small comparison video on all three HT red and blue suited Spider-Man figures in the near future.

Excellent review, those are minor issues not worth sweating, looking forward to your comparison:hi5:

Glad you were able to fix it:)

Excellent review Sean and congrats on Spidey :clap

I'm debating whether to get this figure or to wait and see what the future holds for Spidey and possibly what we'll get if he shows up in the MCU soon (which seems all but confirmed).

Be a while yet. Could this release sell out/go up in price by then?

I've made that mistake before and got dinged; I'd rather buy and decide later. Re-sale on HT is usually pretty good.

I'm betting this will sell out eventually. The film wasn't all that popular (at least in the US) but it seems that a lot of people like how this figure turned out and its the classic Spidey look.

The film had great moments, but was pretty terrible overall. That being said, the look is classic and the figure is just a lot of fun.

I'm actually considering buying a second and I never buy doubles (outside of army builders).

Worst case scenario, you re-sell it at or slightly below retail.

That is true. Maybe I'll order it once there's a new coupon.

hey, great pose. I'm going to steal it. I copied your pic too. Hope that's ok. Let me know if not and I'll delete it. Just liked it.

I do like this figure. Best Spiderman, not only by Hot Toys, but by any figure iteration. At least in my opinion. Only downside is the head removability issue. But with this figure I completly understand why they did it this way. That way of you want the Parker head you have to buy either AM1 spidey also or the upcoming Parjer figure. At least that's why they designed it that way. Even if they end up canceling the Parker figure down the line. Still good business sense.

I've had the figure for a few weeks now and think it's excellent. In general I'm not a fan of the newer Spidey movies but the costume in the second one was excellent and it'll do just nicely as my representation of the character.

Nice figure but dreary pose! Come on mate you can do better than that! (See above)

Love this figure, waiting for a good discount to pick up another. These Spiderman HT's have been really good, Im shocked with his popularity that these take a long while to sell out.

Oh man. I'm not alone! I have never tried buying two of the same figure, but I love this Spidey so much that I might get another one as a spare, even at SRP. Ever this guy goes on sale, then that would make things much sweeter. Really love this figure!

Great pic, great pose!

Thanks!

No worries, thanks! That pose is pure modern Spidey from the comics. It's how I think of him, all kinetic energy.

If you're careful, the figure is plenty durable, but that being said, I want a back-up and know after-market prices too well. I'd rather buy a back-up now then get burned later. And as I've pointed out, it's not like the price is gonna plummet on this one.
