@Jester: If they ever making the rest of the squad I'm guessing that they'll be helmeted versions. Can't figure out why the won't do it. Likenesses rights I suppose In addition we'll probably see the same accessories (pulse rifle and/or flame thrower, back mounted flash light and so on). Now if one were a completist Weirzbowski, Frost, Crowe, and Dietrich would be crucial but for me they're not that "important".
Apone would be cool but I'm thinking that Drake and Vasquez would take the cake for me; smart guns are awesome:wink1:
NECA could really get away with new cool head sculps fot these characters (think about it; Vasquez's bandana and Drake's cap with bone trophys). As well Drake could get a 2nd figure (Battle Damaged) w/ flame thrower.
And if we ever get a Gorman NECA could really milk it with at least two different head sculpts (Cap'd and Battle Damaged).

Teh lien continues...:wink1:

This would also scratch me right where I itch. :D

I wonder. I know there's been some controversy with Al Matthews, but I wouldn't think that it should be too expensive to acquire likeness rights from Trevor Steedman, Cynthia Scott or Ricco Ross, for example (not sure about the late Tip Tipping).

Yeah, the line won't be reasonably complete until they've produced the Smartgun rig.

If they ever make Apone, though, I hope the end-result is as nice as this custom job:

Let's hope so.

Would be cool with the whole squad but first I wanna see Drake and Vasquez:pray:

Since we already got an flame thrower with Windrix the natural step would be a smart gun.

Hey, Apone could actually get two figs; one war face and one relaxed with......wait for it......waaaait......sooon.....any time now...................waaaaaaaaaaaaaaait.................a cigar!:yess:

Ok Neca you did Genocide, you made a cat,
Now how about the Synthetic Alien Norbert and his Dog (don't forget the ball) 2-Pack!

Vasquez would get at least 2 figures aswell I expect. One fully kitted up with the smart gun gear and one for the operations battle where she had no armour and just had the pulse rifle.

By the looks of this thead and other reviews online, it looks like I'm better off just sticking to the human characters in these Alien lines. All I've bought so far are regular Hicks and Hudson. Sounds like I'm not missing out on these chintzy aliens. Oddly enough, the appeal for me has always been the crews anyway. We've always have had the monsters available, but never any solid Nostromo or US Marines groupings. Seems like 2013 and 2014 is definitely looking to change that.

I mean, sure, I'd love one great Old Chap, Warrior Alien, the Queen and Dog Alien, but not if they're going to fall apart in my hands. I can't get over how cheap and brittle they look. Just looking at the pics of the damage it makes me wonder how anyone could approve the mass production stages of those things with such small, poorly designed joints. The neck/head and ankles especially.

The marines didn't come out that great either. I remember reading about breakages, and saw the bad facial paint apps myself at ToysRus. Not to mention the Hicks sculpt looks very little like Biehn.

Hopefully NECA ups the paint quality on the new wave of Alien human figures. All the sculpts already look fantastic.

Shame they won't ever try competing with Hot Toys in a larger scale with high-end paint apps, they definitely have the sculpts to.

Yeah, according to a large amout of YT-reviewers and around the boards there were a lot of wonky Hudson eyes, loose joints and leg breakings out there. I'm guessing I got lucky 'cuz a had just a few sloppy paint jobs on my regular Hicks and war face Hudson (mainly on the arms and hands. But just reading this thread I'm concerned; a lot of fellow collectors experienced joints breaking on their Alien warriors. The NECA QC must be better than that. Just imagine; this many QC issues and compalints at the forthcoming Ripley, Power Loader and perhaps even the Alien Queen would be devastating for them and us as collectors :horror

Haven't had any problems with my Marines to date (1 Hudson, 1 Hicks, 2 two-packs Hicks) either, unless you count slightly loose ankles on a couple of them.

...Wait, you have the two-pack Hudson already? :thud:

Loose ankles here as well but they aren't that loose so I don't mind.

No, no; typo. Meant the Game over-Hudson. Sry.

Was it july around the queens sales? If so we got to be seeing pics soon.I think randy was done with the sculpt but windrix was his main focus at the time.I think out of respect he didnt make it first thing to show.Good for him and theres probably going to be alot of memories while scuplting that queen with his brother. So in a way his gift to us is much deeper

Yeah I am too excited, I got a extra blue alien at toy r us in Florida . All the big chaps were gone sadly. They had 2 windrix figs.
I really am going to push to get two queens

All of these complaints of QC issues continue to plague this otherwise great series. I'm starting to have flashbacks of the Palisades Micronauts from the 90's! Anyone else remember those? They were also very brittle and full of problems. To make things worse, many collectors donated vintage toys that were destroyed so the company could mimic the tooling! I hope this line doesn't die like the Micros did because of it. Micronaut Series 2 was improved but due to the negative QC publicity, it never flew again.
