Bottom line, height difference won't be the male being short, but the female too tall. 1/6 female bodies are probably about 5'5" height in scale to other bodies, and I think Fisher's like 5' even, she's not very tall at all, even Hasbro's little figures proportion her now and they're such tiny figures. That's just par for the course in products that capitalize on the re-use of generic parts.

Yea, that's why to me it's "good enough". At least she's not the same height as Luke

BTW, am I the only one who had no concept of a 'folding stock' before this? I mean, I've read the visual dictionaries religiously, and had no clue what that meant. It's so cool! They should have used it at some point in the movie!

Well, the production pics look better...

But the new in-hand ones remain unsettling.

My expectations are very LOW now so maybe that's a good thing. I mean, how great is Leia in a white gown ever gonna look? It's not the most dynamic outfit. But it IS the iconic image that started it all (though I'll admit I like the Hoth look better too).

At some point, I'm still hoping to create a Star Wars centerpiece of Luke, Leia, Han, Ben, Chewie and the droids (the 7 heroes) from ANH... that's STAR WARS to me!

Yeah, maybe the Stormtroopers would have actually hit a target.

But those blast points are too accurate for Sand People, only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise.

Oh Yeah, ANH Han. I'm thinking Bespin Han. Although Bespin Han and Luke work just fine for me. Wor-Gar and I both have custom Chewies so two more for me will do it.

Lucky they made all my favorite versions first--Jedi Luke, Bespin Han, and ANH Leia. Add Ben and I only need three more.

Don't take this is a slam because that Chewie is amazing but no amount of work will ever make it look EXACTLY like Chewie and less like a Bigfoot. Just too much bulk there, but I will say it is nice for a real fur Chewie.

No offence taken at all. Mark did a great job with Chewie. He looks more like ANH Chewie than any other version. The fur is perfect but the proportions are not. Considering the base body he used it looks good. If he were to narrow the head a bit before he furred it and added joints to the body then I have no don't we would have a 1:6 figure that looks exactly like Chewbacca.

Ahh I still dunno. The arms and legs are too bulky. Just overall too bulky. Anyway back to Leia, STILL no Quantum for me.

So my last post was at 7:47, and at that exact same time my Quantum view notice was delivered to my email Leia will be at my house on the 5th. 4 lbs too.. looks like it's calendar time.

Don't lie to them Wor-Gar, it's closer to Chewie than SS Leia is to Carrie.
I haven't posted pics yet. My wife is out of town and has my camera.

I do think Leia grouped with the rest of the gang is gonna make an awesome display though.

She is not the trainwreck so many folk think she is. I like her. Just a lil' repaint and I'll be happy (I will be slightly more disappointed if the material isn't water treatable).

Right!! I think the photos we've seen in hand have been been quick shots to get her online. Give people like Sean, Monk, Jedi Bear, and the like to get up some nice shots

Well now I feel her face is more in proportion thanks to Sideshow's photos.

Correct and I think thats due to people not zooming in so damn close to the face on the figure.
