It is now time for an AWESOME update!!!!!!!!! Sorry for the delay!

This is a piece I have wanted for a very long time and finally have it!

Darth Vader 1:1 Bust

This is a custom helmet and display from someone over at RPF. I had the base custom built for it to match the other Sideshow 1:1 busts.

It came out looking very nice! I went for the TESB/ROTJ Vader. The chestbox even lights up and flashes the way it did in the films. I still need to do some small adjustments to the cape and chestbox.

It ended up looking really nice!

Here are some pictures. I will try to post more, later this weekend.

It is a MASSIVE piece and really shines as one of the centerpieces of my collection. It is also the first thing you see when you enter the museum. :)

,..really cool collection,....,.. i think the vader bust looks kind of weird...,,the base is too small,..looks unbalanced,..., .why not go full size?,....

That's too sweet! What does: "More coming!!!" mean, that statement has me very curious now what other custom star wars busts you have lined up? Maybe an Emperor or Jedi Luke???
 
Gruson, you easily have one of the greatest collections I have ever seen. You collection was awesome before but since you went strictly 1:1 it is better than ever!!!

Have you gotten a Darkness bust yet??

Nope, no Darkness bust....too hard to find!

I snapped a couple of more of Vader and Maul today. They look great together.

I hope Sideshow releases that Emperor 1:1 bust soon because he is the last one I need.

I feel a lot better now that my collection has Vader in it!

As for what I meant by more 1:1 busts coming, that just means more characters coming. Sorry, no more Star Wars now.

I may add a stormtrooper and Fett bust at some point but that will be a while...and if I have the room...

I still have 6 other full size 1:1 busts/torsos being made so will be running low on space soon.

Vader is huge, you know. :) The actual scale is right.

Do you mean having a torso compared to a standard bust of just a head and shoulders?

With Vader, I actually prefer the torso, showing more of a character instead of just a helmet...that's all you could have have if you wanted to keep it around the Sideshow height of their other characters.

No offense taken though. I think I understand what you mean. I wanted to show Vader off as a "large" bust and it works well, as he is the first thing you see when you walk into the room.

yeah yeah, I know he is bigger than Maul or obi wan...etc but there is something disturbing me. not saying it is bad, it is still good and big and impressive but not complete.

Ok, let me put this way,

I guess it would be better if you can cut down the yellow highligted pipe and reduce his lenght a little bit :)

Hey Gambit, that is a good suggestion but I don't want it too short either.

I will try it and see how it looks.

A new pipe should be easy enough to find.

that vader is awesome Gru!! Where did you get him from? (what is rpf?)

to balance the height, you could also maybe raise Maul a bit like you did with Superman.
