Just out of curiosity could you point to and equal or better product for that price?

Unfortunately I can't. But that doesn't mean this is automatically worth $25. It was hard enough to stomach at $15, but we can't use that excuse anymore.

is it the paint you dont like?

That would be the main problem, yes.
And again, the Marines look great. In 90% of the shots I've seen, they look leaps and bounds beyond what I thought NECA was capable of. With the Xenomorphs, it's the exact opposite.

Giving it some more thought, I realized this Brown Xeno was an impulse buy. I'd always planned on getting the Marines and the Genocide packs and, had I not ordered this, I would've gotten those first and felt totally comfortable about the line. I guess I'm a little disappointed that I sprang for the Warrior and received him before anything else. $25 down the drain, but I feel like the worst is now behind. I'll probably give him to one of my folks' godkids since he's always been into my toys. No more colored Aliens for me.

Seriously though, why the hell is this $25? I don't understand.

Fair enough, up here in Canada were at about $20 bucks for these, which is a great price here. I get your points, i should have mine next week so I'll see how I feel about em

I turned him from a **** brown toilet Alien to a jet black oil baron Alien.

Not sure if dry brushing to pick out highlights at this scale is worthwhile though...

I used to build 1:1 scaled warrior suits and used the sponge technique used in the film to paint them. I then used the same method on the old NECA warrior figures and they turned out great. Add bit of gloss too to give the slime effect.

@blade3327: the price point hasn't really gone up on these figures. Once they get to TRU, aliens series 1 will be the same 17 bucks a piece that all the other figures are. Retail knows how sought after these aliens figures are and they are price gouging here the first month of the release. No way people should be paying 25 bucks for aliens (unless you understand that the extra you are paying is to get it earlier than everyone else etc.). These are 15-20 dollar figures (and, imho, they are rather impressive).

I ordered a set from Corner Store Comics on Friday, I can't wait to get my hands on them. I haven't been buying any NECA Alien/Predator figures up until now. I'm a sucker for Colonial Marines, so I'll be picking up everything related from now on. Aliens was my favorite movie as a kid, I use to watch it everyday. I missed out on the Hot Toys versions, but I've been dying for a good Hicks, Hudson. or any other marine for a while now.

FINALLY.

Horrible picture. But I love him. Although he was one flaw. His noise paint rubbed off, so i'll try and fix it. If not....oh well. I'll pick up Hudson later. The only one they had looked kinda ****y.

Did Dutch have widespread paint **** ups? My series 8s were fine.

If not then I really wish they'd go with that waxy looking skin on these too.

I dread the thought of what I'm gonna end up with when they arrive next week.

well watched some reviews, I think Hicks is gunna be my new fave neca figure! (behind the updated og Pred) I wonder if Neca would do a future kyle reese with all the articulation Hicks has, that would kill!

If they cast these in black plastic (with transparent mandibles) and painted only the teeth, this would be figure of the year.

Yeah, I'm not sure why they didn't do the mouth tendons in translucent plastic like how the old Warrior was.

Joda - Purchased a case from BBTS. None of the Hudsons were cross eyed - one came close but still, nothing close to what I've seen in other reports. Neca really went all the way with these guys - they could have sculpted the armor onto the figure but instead, it's spot glued in place...which means, with a little care and some patching, you can have alternate versions with their armor off...just sayin'. I hope for some neutral facial expressions down the road...esecially Hudson.
