Are there pictures of the helmeted marines that will be in the 2-packs?

Kind of. The article from "inside the Neca Studios" a few pages back featured a pic of the new painted "screaming/fighting" faces that will get the helmets (but no helmet was actually attached).

Later there was a twitter pic of everything together, but unpainted.

Yeah repainted the eyes and darkened/shadowed his face. Also when I got him his teeth had barely any paint on them, repainted that too.

Nice one. Just found out that my brother bought me a Hudson. Might cudtomise him. Sculpt a helmet. Should be quite easy to do. :D

Got my set today. I love the Hudson! Great likeness and totally evokes that great Bill Paxton presence. Hicks is decent, but isn't quite as impressive and mine has some annoying paint slop on his forehead. The brown Alien I could honestly take or leave. I still prefer the look of my blue one from the original series a few years back. I do like the added articulation, though.
Overall I'm pretty happy. I hope they decide to make more Marines.

@master wayne: Im with you!...the marines are the backbone of this series. NECA doesn't appear to be as focused on the marines as id hoped they'd be. We have some unknown marine (possibly not from the film) coming in series 2 and we have bishop coming in series 3 or 4. Other than that, Randy said no other human figures coming from this line in 2013. I asked him about Vasquez (the obvious choice...duhh!) He said she is possible for the future, but there is "no rush" as the Aliens series is planned through 2014. WTF!? planned through 2014 and NO Vasquez? NECA just doesn't want to pay for likeness etc. Jennette Goldstein already stated publicly that she'd be open to a Vasquez figure w her likeness etc. Frustrating.
Oh well...sorry for the rant. Series 1 is just so wonderful! Was hoping to at least make a small squad of marines. Fingers crossed :)

Yes, versions of the same figures are boring.
They must make other figures/characters to mixed the Wave.
for example Vasquez, Apone and Bishop.

Na, you nailed it. I noticed that too when I did the extended inner mouth pics. I am pretty positive the head and mouth sculpts are exactly the same on the new and old, but the new one has globbed on paint that ABSOLUTELY obscures many fine details, especially on the inner mouth. Individual teeth and the ribbing on the 'tongue' are wiped out by heavy paint on mine. Also, the bottom row of front teeth almost got missed completely (only tips silver).

I have no doubt, like face paint, the mouth paint on the warrior varies figure to figure, but you do actually see correct in that mine is a little chunky in that region. Still glad I got it though.

I hope they make it better in the future.
This things are disappointing. I see this not only on your pics, every on youtube and other pics have the same problems.

It would be cool when they make the paintjob lke in the past(airbrushes, etc.).

It would be a solution, when the produced the Aliens in the same factory as the Gremlins.

Got my brown Xenomorph Warrior today and, well...

...he's cheap garbage. I'm surprised I made the decision to buy knowing full-well that the best I can get -- and this is assuming I'm lucky -- is a *decent* paintjob. And I wouldn't consider myself lucky here. The glue used to hold the parts together is also very weak and the soft plastic joints, while they are less prone to snapping, can arrive with factory tears. As if that wasn't enough, the jaw is loose.

Since NECA's previous Alien outing, the overall durability has increased. This doesn't make the figures any less "meh." And last I checked, you could get better than "meh" for $25.

The Marines aren't just the backbone of this line, they are this line. I should be getting them on Monday and am very excited to see how they turn out. Having second thoughts though. I may just keep them in the packaging and wait for my two Genocide packs to ship out from CSC to see if the all-black Aliens look better. If they're good, I'll keep them. If not, I'm selling everything, pulling out of the 7" line, and waiting for the 18" figures.
I really do love the added articulation and features, the execution just needs a fix. It pisses me off how there are no good figures of the second film's baddies and the potential is here. Maybe scaling things up will do the trick.

I really don't need this crap, Sideshow is supposedly revealing their Alien LSB's soon and I'll need to save all the money I can for those...
