Just picked one up myself. Went with the regular though. Picked it up from a forum member for a good price. Now I'll be on the lookout for Frodo and waiting for GTG....:yess:

Hi guys :wave, sorry to bump up an old thread...but I'm in need of some help.

Would anyone have a spare Sideshow Legolas PF Arrow they would sell me?

My son had a bit of a mishap with my Legolas PF and broke the arrow. :(

It could have been much worse so I'm not too upset with him...yeah that surprises me too. :lol

He is a good kid and these things happen...but I know he is feeling bad about it, as he know how much I love my LOTR collection. :love

I'm hoping someone may still have a spare arrow from a PF they may have needed to destroy for a replacement or a refund from Sideshow. :(

Any help would be appreciated. :hi5:

He just doesn't look right without his arrow. :(

Please PM me if you can help.

Sorry Bill, The replacement they sent me did not include an extra arrow. I only saved the parts shown in the attached photo. The arrows are from the his back. If you can use one of them to build, make, or fix yours, just send me a pm.

No way of fixing it Bill?

I had a go and failed :( :( Bullseye :wave...I have a few other ideas on how to fix it, so I haven't given up on it yet. :wink1:

I'm thinking if I don't have any success on my plea here, I may replace the shaft with something and just attached the two ends to it...but I would like to keep as much of the original arrow as I can...still working on it.

Hi dtssyst :wave...thanks for the kind offer.

I'm not quite sure how I am going to fix this yet, but if I can't get a replacement arrow, I'll send you a PM. :wink1:

Thanks you both for taking the time to reply. :hi5:

sorry to hear about that Bill :monkey2 The Legolas PF is probably my favorite of the LOTR PFs.

Can you show pics of the break? have you tried epoxy putty? that stuff hardens rock solid. I've started using it for sculpting so i don't have to bake

I don't have much surface area to work with.

Do you think it would work on this?

"I may replace the shaft with something and just attached the two ends to it"

That is what I would do.

Find a local hobby shop. They should have small metal and styrene tubes in the same diameter as the arrow. I would use styrene. Why... don't forget about the little peg that is used to hold the arrow in place. You will need to drill the rod to insert that peg. Then paint to match.

If you feel you can't do it... send me a pm.

Just a sample...

easy fix in my book...epoxy (but make sure it is on straight), very fine sanding, paint, put back on Legolas

Thanks Gipetto :wave

bill that's a very easy fix, mix a tiny bit of 2 part epoxy, then dab a thin layer and hold it together for 5 mins, wipe away the goo that got squeezed out when you press the two side together right away before it dries.

Then let it cure for 24 hours, and touch it up a little bit with some tamiya flat brown, wipe it with a smooth cloth to blend the color. Good as new!

Job's a good en...I'll give it a go – thanks gagaliya :wave

Didn't think epoxy was going to be strong enough, but I'll have a go for sure.

Hope I can keep it lined up correctly while it dries...any ideas on that?

I'll will have a go for sure Gipetto:wave

However, some people are telling me not to use epoxy but to use Super Glue instead. :dunno

I normally don't have great results with Super Glue and because of the small surface area to glue, I'm not that confident super glue will do the job. :dunno

I'll try it first and see how it goes. :wink1:

I do not like to use superglue because it seems like over time it gets dry and brittle. Then snap, you have to fix it again.

2 part epoxy will be your friend.

Post pics when you are done!
