Wow are the fan boys really paying $50 for those figures?? And they complain about 1/6 prices.

Just need to vent somewhere. I have been eagerly anticipating the Joecon Exclusive Carded Footloose that I paid High Dollar for about 3 weeks ago. Finally arrived today in a dreaded bloody stinkin' 2 bit no good filthy bent up ENVELOPE! I am so mad, not just that I have to fight for a refund and fight again to find another one (probably that much more expensive by now), and not that the guy is a jerk for letting a 1 out of 500 made collectible get destroyed by innapropriate packaging, but because it's just plain wrong. The card was most likely bent to H E double hockey sticks before he shipped it and was too much of a spineless slugworm to admit it, or he is just a lilly licking no good, not worth a fart in the wind, want to save 60 cents by not putting it in a box scoundrel!

One more thing... for the Seller(Not a member here)

Consume human sapien carbon based byproduct and expire!

You think that's bad. I ordered a sealed, original Flint from eBay once and it got shipped to me in a (non-padded) envelope, which bent the bubble up to hell. I got a refund, but it was more depressing than anything that someone would have a figure kept in very good condition for 25+ years and screw it up because of something thoughtless like that.

Right now, I can say I know how you felt. I told the seller that I hate when that happens on a FIVE DOLLAR FIGURE, in fact, this is the message I sent, it would have been longer but that's all the space they gave me...

Item: GI Joe Con 2012 Footloose Exclusive Carded
Qty: 1
Return reason: Damaged due to inappropriate packaging
Buyer comments: Shipped a very valuable (only 1 out of 500 made) figure in an envelope? Really? This is something I hate to have happen on a FIVE DOLLAR FIGURE! You should not be allowed to do business any longer.

Request received: August 16, 2012

Hopefully that will get under his skin more than a full on scolding, kind of like when your parents say, 'I'm not mad, I'm just dissapointed in you'.

You once bought a Flint figure off ebay?

I bought a minty AWE Striker off EBay a while ago and the dumb seller bent the antennas completly over to fit it in the box. All he had to do was pop them off and he wouldn't have caused any damage. Nice little toy had survived 30 years like new and then an idiot ruins it in 10 seconds.

Anyone familiar with Amazon? The seller responded with

Ship it back in the original package that was shipped to you. if their was a postal error damage, I need to see this to issue an insurance claim.
item cannot be opened, or damaged behind what you claim was already damaged in transit.

I'm certain that he had a damaged cardback and is trying to double down, since he didn't spend the money on protecting it but did spend the money on the insurance. Now he's trying to stick me with the shipping fees I think. I responded, asking him if he is planning on returning the shipping fees but he has not gotten back to me. He will likely collect the insurance as planned and then resell the damaged figure to another buyer, repeating the scam. Should I just go ahead and file a claim, not ship the figure back and foil his plans to cause more pain? :dunno

Chances are if you report this to Amazon I would guess they'd email you a prepaid to expedite your guys issues. That would be my guess anyways. :dunno

Sounds fishy to me. If he shipped it USPS, they make the recipient file the claim, not the sender, so I'm not sure what he's trying to do other than potentially rip you off for your $$$ and the figure. But given they'll likely refuse a refund based on the packaging he shipped it in, I don't even think a claim is even possible.

Update: Minutes after he sent me return instructions, he actually relisted the Footloose! He's now trying to sell a figure that is sitting in my house!

That's something that I can't figure out. I checked the return section and it looks like he is not following the steps; If he officially acknowledged the returns process, I am supposed to have an option to print a return label directly from Amazon, which I don't have. That's why I think he's trying to stiff me on shipping, because if he approves the request, it comes out of his pocket when I print it. Instead, he just emails a return address.
And the last time I had an insurance claim, I was the recipient and the seller simply gave me the insurance claim # to file, I submitted photos and was issued a check within 3 days. I'm done getting burned by shotty sellers, I'm not doing anything until I understand all of my options, and he will definately get the short end of the stick.

That's my understanding of how insurance claims via USPS work. Now if he'd shipped by UPS, his instructions would make more sense, but since he didn't, I think he's trying to scam ya. :monkey1
