Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!

I think it's the figures eyes that are off.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!

Does look good. Pardon the dumb question, what episode is the outfit from? Is that her normal attire? Its not very distinctive so I guess I never noticed, unlike say Martha who had the very distinctic leather jacket.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!

Amy looks great, and I'm normally the pickiest most critical person around. It's hard enough getting a female character with smooth youthful rounded features to look human never mind get it looking 95-98% perfect which is what I'd rate this. Maybe they should risk making the cheeks rouge-ier or trying something new with the paint job but the sculpt is not only almost there, it captures perfectly a particular aspect of her character, her wide-eyed cosmic child persona. Totally sold. And that body they've got for her has got a terrific silhouette too.

EDIT: The lips could be redder, the eyebrows slightly thicker and she's a little pale which is what slightly puts you in mind of a china doll/ Tonner effect and maybe they should exaggerate the red of her hair (they've got it spot on) has anyone else got any detailed criticisms of the sculpt or paint job?

I THINK it's from The Doctor's Wife though the leggings seem darker there.

I actually think Amy had more iconic outfits the first season, which is why I hope BC offers some expansion packs for her. I'd love her red shirt, leather jacket, gloves and scarf and the big coat she wears in Vincent and the Doctor. Also, a pair of pants would be nice if you wanted to show her that way.

I'd show Amy in her pants...

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!

Just out on the BC facebook page. Karen signature edition

Not sure. Can't see me spending extra for karens signature. Not unless the companion figures are significantly cheaper.
But I suspose this meansost figures will be similarly available. David tenant and Tom baker anyone?

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!

Tennant, no. But I would spring the extra for a Tom.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!

Yeah, I could see paying extra for extra accessories, but signatures? Eh...

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!

I like the signatures. I like them because it's something a bit more personal to the actor, they put time and effort to sign it.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!

I guess I wouldn't ever pay money to buy a signature on its own.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!

Depending on sculpt and quality, I'm in for a signature edition of every surviving Doctor that they can muster.

Hell, I'd even be happy with autopen or laser etched replica versions of the signatures of William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee, if that was a possibility, just to maintain the style and concept across Doctor releases.

Companions though, doubt I'll be in for signature editions for too many of those. I would have for The Brig, Sarah Jane, and Harry Sullivan, and for the DelGado and Ainley Masters, but alas...

Only other ones I can see myself really considering are John Barrowman as Captain Jack, Louise Jameson as Leela, and John Leeson as K-9.

Okay, maybe Freema Agyeman as Martha, Wendy Padbury as Zoe, and Frazer Hines as Jamie, but that's it!

Probably.

Oh Hell... :lol

:lol :lol :lol

Thats the slippery slope I found myself in too. Didn't post it though.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!

Kinda unrelated question but I figured I'd ask here. Does the term "splashy" get used in the show Doctor Who?
