Bumblebee,
Nice haul!

Dubz,
Glad you like the pics, the bank holiday will delay the posting of our respective packages but I think we'll both like the contents of each :)

It played a big part in my getting past the issues I had with Generations Kup and in terms of value for money it's easily the best 3rd party item.......2 great headsculpts, a screwdriver and a box that fits in Kup's truck bed for just over £7 :clap

Awsome As usual mate !!! You are making me VERY jelouse.

You still need to do a collection thread my friend :wave

Bob

I second the collection pics. Ive known him for ages and even i havent seen pics of his entire collection. Just the most awesome stuff like his custom prime that i did for him and a few other bits. :p

Prime especially looks amazing. Wish i could pre order one for myself. How much are they anyway? And how could you make these look any better than they do if your planning on customizing them?

Ohh, I am sure these are just prototypes... I ordered a prime and BB for a client, and one Prime for my collection.. I just plan on doing some LEDs and metallic paints... They are like $120.00 for the primes..

I will look forward to seeing you and any other customizers fixing that, then. :D

Oh, and here's a colored preview pic of the TFC Reflector, which favors a more realistic altmode and transformation then the PE version.

Here we go again :slap

If people were capable of having a discussion about a difference of opinion without resulting to trollish comebacks or spamming the boards with stupid emoticons (which obviously just show you lack any kind of sense or ability to communicate to backup your perspective/opinions) then stupid crap like what happened in the other thread wouldnt happen.

Why's that? Ones a statue non-poseable non-transforming version of Prime, ones a poseable non-transforming statue of prime.
Seem quite similar to me and i definately know which id prefer.

First of, statues don't tend to be articulated. ;)

Second...I like it, but it's a freaking 100 dollar model kit. It's a shiny figure, one that captures details well, but still exaggerates the proportions and isn't even as sturdy as your average normal toy. And the materials? Plastic and maybe soft plastic for the tire.

Compare it to the Sideshow piece, which is the very definition of high end. Not articulated, but the single most accurate Prime out there, with a matching paintjob, intricate sculpting, premium materials used for it's construction, and it's absolutely huge. It is very expensive, definitely only for the rich collectors out there, but for that price you get the centerpiece of any collection.

Note that I'm not saying which one you SHOULD like. I'm just trying to explain that while they represent the same character, they are two completely different things aimed at completely different buyers. Saying they're similar is the same as saying that the Robot Replicas Optimus Prime figure and Buster Prime are similar. Or that a Hot Wheels miniature is similar to one of those expensive 1/24 model cars.

So yeah. Apples and oranges.

They were dicks, no doubt about that, but to be fair dude? Your comments were a bit rude as well.

I only started being rude after they started, so i figured id communicate with them on their level. *shrug*

Anyway, good point about the statue and articulation thing!! :rotfl Ya got me there! ;)

But seriously, for me anyway, i think anything that costs over 1k and doesnt do anything but sit there in the same frozen pose forever is just lame, and not only that but the company are treating all those with more money than sense who rushed out and pre-ordered that thing like complete suckers. Par for the course though i think.

And im sorry but that statue is in no way accurate or the pinnacle of Primes out there. The paint is missing simple things like pin-stripes around the flames and they couldnt even remember to add a few glyphs to his cheeks and antennae.
For something that is already overpriced these oversights are just unacceptable, especially when they are the kind of thing any chump with a paint brush could add. And beleive me i know better than most where small details need to be before anyone starts throwing around the "most accurate ever" title. Watch this space for my approach on the matter. :wink1:

These model kits might be a bit exagerrated in their proportions (not by much mind) but at least they offer more in terms of value, and fun and if you ask me they can be the centerpiece of any collection just as much as the maquette, or any other high-end toy/collectable.

Not only that but just think of all the other awesome tf's you could buy with the money you saved? Take the 1k for the stupid statue, spend $120 for the Prime kit instead, leaving you with $880 left to spend on whatever the hell you want.

If i were the kind of fool with that kind of money to spend in one go on toys i know i wouldnt lose a wink of sleep over not buying the sideshow statue. :wink1:
I would probably lose the ability to even wink though if i were to do such a thing and the wife found out. lol

Oh, and again (as RA88 states) im not trying to sway anyones decision or dictate what to who either. This is all just opinion and part of a thing i like to call "having a discussion".
Who'd have thought such a thing would happen on a message board!? :cuckoo:

Yes, im looking at you sideshow Prime maquette thread. :slap

So, I just decided to FINALLY get a transformers united Jazz figure.. AND JESUS CHRIST WTF is with the price? 50-60$ Really?
