Given it's technically an import, I look at it more as a $20 figure with $15 shipping from Japan. Seems worth it to me. :dunno
No matter which way you spin it, $40 is $40 (I haven't seen this $35 price you are referencing after shipping costs). I figure shipping into my cost for anything. Having said that, I've paid a lot more for figures a lot smaller. . .

Surely, this would be much cooler than just about any MOTU or DC Classics figure, which cost about half what this guy does.

I must admit the price is a little steep for the size but givien the detail and the amount of accessories and the cool display base also if your big enough jason fan its a must have you guys know when you buy something online for a high price and you when you finally get it your like damn! what a waste of money!"? I didnt feel that way at all and Im a cheap Ba***** lol although it would of been better if it was bigger the price would have doubled along with that.:wave

I know exactly what you mean, and that's the kind of test I put anything I buy through, whether it's a $3 Minimate or a $700 statue. It isn't about price alone, but price for what you are getting. Good to know you feel this way.

Revoltechs are imported so I expect a higher price. They are usually worth it, I think they're great. Thanks for the video review Ones.

Do you know if this guy is in scale with the Transformer Revoltechs, Deak? From my understanding, there are different sized Revoltechs (Street Fighter figures are smaller, for instance).

I have the TFormers and they were about as tall as the SF ones. He looks taller but I don't know for sure. He is growing on me, but I'd prefer the A L I E N ones.

Dammit, I'm afraid that this guy will be a slippery slope. If I get him, I'll have to get Alien, and Starscream, and Batman, and Buzz Lightyear, etc. etc. since they would all be in scale. ____. That's how it happened with Kubricks.

^ this. proceed at your own peril. :lol i started with 'just' starscream...

No Jason is a bit bigger than the transformers revoltechs. I used to collect nothing but the robots, but then stopped just because there were to many and they started to do robots I didnt care for anyways. Alot of the newer revoltechs are ranging in size from 5 to 6 inches and some even bigger depending on the line. The new Sci-fi ones are about 5 to 5 1/2 inches.

In Japan depending on the figure revols go for anwhere from $20 to $25 once imported over they usually get marked up about $10 to $15 and again depending on the line even a little more. I know there were a few Fist of the North Star figures that were hitting $50 to $60. The new zoid revoltechs are huge about 7" to 8" and they go to about $60 to $70.

Again most of the "standard" figures are within an 1/2 inch of each other pretty much. The original lines were about 4.5 to 5 inches much smaller but they were also much cheaper. I think the line has progressed since then and branched out to other characters and this is because of there competition which would be the Figma figures which are a little taller than revoltechs and cost more as well. When figma hit the market is when the revoltech figures got re-engineered and prices changed.

Kaiyodo's Revoltech line doesn't follow a set scale even within its own line. That's the only thing I'm a bit miffed about regarding their figures. Granted, it's not that big of an issue outside of their robot/mech figures.

These are kinda pricey, but considering the current inequity between the US dollar and Japanese Yen, it's not so bad. Plus, it's not like Revoltechs are the only figures from Japan that have to be marked up when sold by US distributors/resellers.

It could be cheaper if you plan to buy multiple figures direct from Japanese web stores though. The price + bulk shipping cost would be less than if buying the same amount of figures from, say, BBTS.

IMO their Batman Begins figure looks pretty bad compared to even Hasbro's.

I agree if you look at pics of the Batman...hes not what you might think. His cape is jointed seperately in 2 places almost appearing as if theyw ere wings. Also the head sculpt is pretty bad. Im looking foward to see how they do the Predator figure...other than that I dont want anymore revoltechs...there size being the reason.
