Exchanges cannot be done physically at the Sideshow headquarters. If you ordered your collectible directly through us, you may call the Customer Service department at 1-800-474-3746 if you are in the U.S. or 1-805-214-2100 if you are an international customer with any questions. Additionally, you may also email the Customer Service department at [email protected] with questions, or [email protected], if you're looking to exchange an item that arrived damaged.

Those that ordered from a retailer should contact that company directly about exchanges.

What a pain in the bum. So what should we expect for the Optimus Prime for $1200? Will it come with touch up paint and brushes? jk

I think that comment is unnecessary. Can you imagine the chaos that will follow if you has every tom, ____ and harry wandered into SS.

You have to keep in mind they sell a plethora of products and not just one. :lecture

From my experience sideshow's customer service is very courteous, but not very helpful. I ordered through an online retailer, and received a defective product. They would not even talk to me about it or confirm that if I did reach out to the online retailer would a replacement be available to them. Courteous, but not very helpful.

Make sure that the QC is sufficient so that every tom, ____ and harry dont need a replacement and problem solved.

I understand the chaos that would occur if people could walk directly into Sideshow's warehouse for an exchange, but some of Sideshow's quality control is subpar at best and people that live close to Sideshow don't want to deal with more shipping fees, getting another crap product, or no replacements available.

I hate saying this, but for a company that sells "premium" collectibles, they sure as hell don't have premium quality control. If they decide that they want to sell a "plethora" of different products, they need to make sure they can maintain their same level of quality because Mattel, Hasbro, or Neca.

The problems with my Ironman maquette are very, very obvious and the sloppy chin issue seems to be near universal (some people are willing accept paintbrush lines on a $500 statue which I find absurd). Take a look at Mesa's; his has a ton of obvious issues.

If Sideshow had premium QC, widespread issues like this wouldn't arise. Sorry, but I find too much irony in this:

Sideshow, can you please let us know if anything is being done to restore the quality expected under the "Legacy" name and are you guys doing any major efforts to fix this for everyone holding a statue with crap paint apps?

Mine also has issues, such as a very poor quality paint job regarding the black lines.

"Legacy" my a$$.

Ah, mine also has the exposed red paint on the part of the upper jaw that should be all black. Just shoddy paint all around. I'm convinced that unless the piece arrives off the assembly line in pieces, the "QC" label doesn't stand for much.

Not to mention that your iron man is having a herpes outbreak on his chin.

I'd have to disagree here. CS has always been very courteous AND helpful. You have to order through them though. If it's through a retailer, the retailer is the point of contact, not sideshow. That's why you pay a little more, for the return policy.

Hi guys,
Im pretty disappointed with my IM. It has a crooked chin area that doesnt line up and bad paint apps on the chin and left arm wrist area. there also seems to be a little grey paint in his right eye that makes it appear smaller when up close. :gah:

here's some more bad paint areas besides the chin...

I can't seem to get a good pic of the wrist area. maybe tomorrow when there is light out.

I guess the whole jaw was painted red and then painted over with gold by brush when the goof was found.

So much drama for a second tier character . . .

Retailers should be checking these themselves and sending back where necessary. They shouldn't be leaving it to the customer.
