Awesome news! Finally another good guy announced, was afraid my SS was getting outnumbered!:lol

Storm Shadow is my most anticipated 1/6er this year. Screw Vader and the Pred., although I really want those too, but Storm is going to be an all around badass! :rock

Storm Shadow was a good guy. So Cobra would need more reinforcements. :lol

Yeah, but if we're following comic book canon, this incarnation of Storm Shadow would be a bad guy.

I know people hate double-dipping, but I'd love the second incarnation of Storm Shadow in his digital camo as a Joe.

I might need a refresher, but I don't seem to remember him killing any Joes. Even in the early books.

The only Cobra to really kill anybody in the earlier Marvel issues was Bludd when he shot Gen. Flagg. Hell, even Zartan left Ripcord for dead on Cobra Island.

Stormy did kidnap Scarlett though.

I think you're right. I remember he did slice up Gung Ho pretty well when he rescued Cobra Commander (can't remember exact issues), but no actual deaths, unless he killed some soldiers not actually on the Joe Team.

And let's face it. Being a ninja, he could've killed him just as easily. I wouldn't be surprised if the relationship between Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes and their back stories were outlined in great detail with the comic's debut. I know Marvel usually has "Bullpen" meetings where they plan out 12+ months in advance.

Not necessarily. :)

Argh!!! I see I'm going to have qualify everything I say!!! You guys are as big Joe Fans as I am.

Storm Shadow was portrayed as a villain up until the second issue of the Origin of Snake Eyes story arc. Snake Eyes challenged Storm Shadow to a knife fight atop an elevated train. When Snake Eyes saved Storm Shadow's life, Storm Shadow explained to Snake Eyes the reason why he joined Cobra: to hunt down the killer of the Hard Master. Afterwards, I believe Storm Shadow left Cobra to hunt for the Hard Master's killer himself and eventually training Billy, Cobra Commander's son. It could be argued that Stormy was always a good guy, but I think in his quest for vengeance, he would have killed anyone in his way, be it Joe or Cobra.

That issue you bring up Khev is the storyline where Stormy and Shadow find out who the killer of the Hard Master was and stormed Cobra Island simultaneously as the Joe team went to rescue Ripcord. Storm Shadow wasn't necessarily working with the Joes then, as he was attempting to gain vengeance with the help of Snake Eyes. Snake Eyes even went AWOL to go with Storm Shadow to get the Hard Master's killer.

Did I qualify my statements and cover my rear enough? :)

Maybe Sideshow should make the Cobra emblem a removeable velcro one so we can display Storm Shadow as we like!!!

This was one of my favorite arcs in the Marvel run! So much cool stuff going on.

-Snake and Storm leading a two-man assault on the Cobra airstrip.
-Zartan and Ripcord duking it out only have Z disguise himself as Ripcord.
-The rescue team searching for Ripcord: Flint, Spirit, Alpine, and Quick Kick. Badass! :rock
-Hawk, Wetsuit, and Beachhead tearing it up on the Devilfish
-Storm Shadow fighting sharks!
-Baroness capping Storm. Such a twisted "ending" to the whole thing.
