Who is the strongest super hero and why?

I have had these debates with the guys and in my opinion it is Son Goku as the strongest but something has to be said for the powers of Silver Surfer and Dr. Manhattan.
One character who rarely gets mentioned is Cosmic Spider-Man. When Spidey had the powers of Captain Universe he could basically remake the Marvel Universe however he saw fit. With a thought he changed Hobgoblin's face to look more handsome. With a punch he sent the Hulk into the atmosphere. He was just too powerful.

As for strongest Def Goku, the dude can blow up planets with his finger , but like the phoenix, Scarlet Witch, or Dr.Manhattan could prob kill him with there crazy ass powers, but Goku would win in an arm wrestling match

yes i am a fan of goku but if you compare all there powers hulk, superman, wolverine, etc..

they dont even come close to the power of goku.

ask your self can hulk destroy a planet just by looking at it ?
can superman do instantanous mouvemnt ?

lets face it if you put lets say superman in the ring with goku my be at normal lvl superman might land a punch and goku would smile and transform super saiyan and he would just completle beat superman to a pulp.
Imagine goku at super sayin 4 level againts superman.

I am basing this on there power lvl KI levels.
superman probably has mybe 30.000 power lvl.

GOKU at super saiyan had 1 million power lvl.

no match for him at all.

That character and his abilities just sound stupid.

also, dragonball is silly crap for asian kids with cheap-ass animation and the "power level" thing is arbitrary and meaningless.
green lantern has a power level of eleventy bajillion. there, now goku looks like a wimp.

Gotta agree, if were not being mindless fanboys acting like 5 year olds picking our favs and actually basing this on something, then its Manhattan.

And believe me, he isn't my favorite but based on what he can do in the movie or novel, no one else would even stand a chance unless he wanted them to. Goku, Hulk, Superman, w/e wouldnt even know he was there and he could just destroy the molecules they are made from. I don't care if your power level is greater then America's debt, your made from the same stuff he can rearrange w/o so much as a 2nd thought, even Superman is made of matter that can be destroyed.

Not familiar with the character so i dunno. From the pool of people I know, Manhattan is strongest w/o a doubt.

I equate him to Dave Bowman, post star gate, when he essentially is a god capable of creating life. Not even Superman can boast that ability.

If you fellas really want to pick someone with god-like powers as "most powerful," then shouldn't you go with Thanos w/Infinity Gauntlet, Beyonder, or Reed Richards with the Ultimate Nullifier over Dr. Manhattan?

Thanos is a villain not a hero.

The Nullifier is an object in addition to Richards so I guess it can still count, but have we ever actually seen it's full power? I honestly don't know Im not a huge FF fan.

W/ Beyonder and Manhattan they both seem about the same level, I suppose it would come down to a good old fasioned who shot first.

Bat-Mite, also. Thanos is not a villain to himself, or to his mistress Death. Regarding Beyonder, he was never constrained by the human emotions that held back Manhattan. Also, Manhattan never traveled through time, brought people back to life, or actually created life-forms (though he obviously said he might do so at the end), as some have been able to. I'm not a comics expert or anything, so I'm sure there are other "cosmic" entities that are more powerful.

But Hulk is more powerful than all of those, obviously, as is Buckaroo Bonzai.
