Sad to see the the complete Lack of professional and UNBIASNESS???? of DiD, let alone shame shown by most of to a prisoer of war for 5 years. I'm not a big fan of McCain, but at least I do understand that he did give more than most Americans today, have been asked to give. I hope one day some of you will relealize not every thing is a joke! I a PROUD AMERICAN VETERAN and feel this is shameful.

Respectfully submitted,

Hey Brent great to see you back on the board! I hope you are well my friend. :peace

Can't believe they disrespected McCain like that, him being the Real American Hero. What would look good with Obama is a Cobra Commander hood on.

Soo from what it seems Obama comes with 3 sculpts and McCain may come with 3 as well as there is at least one other in the first image. So they went and made a sculpt of him from a photo that was caught and sent around the world. Oh no, HUGE disrespect. Is it November 5th yet?

I think it's horribly insensitive to portray McCain like that. And very very very bad marketting. If they like Obama that much, why not preview that figure alone? Even choosing sides is bad marketting but they could have at least skipped disrespecting the opponent. On a sidenote I don't have a clear preference for either candidates so that doesn't come into play for me. It's about good manners and respect for their customers. DiD does disappoint me on this one.

The sculpt (the relaxed/standard one) doesn't look very good. Obama does looks pretty good though.

What...no Bob Barr figures? DiD, you damn money driven capitalist pig-dog corporation--I'm so disappointed in you! And where is the McCain crashed fighter jet playset? I would've bought all FOUR!

I never realized how many people hotlink photos. And now that DiD heard the response from many of its customers, I doubt we'll see that photo, much less that head, again. Which makes it more attractive to collectors, of course. The great lost McCain sculpt of '08.

These are both rather poor likenesses IMO. The simpler Obama is closest, and with a repaint, some narrowing of the neck, and mounted on a slim body it might be salvageable. It would be a lot of work, but probably less than what it takes to fix a Talking Presidents figure. You'd have to be pretty devoted to take on what would be mostly a scratch project with just a so-so headsculpt for what is currently $61 with six days to go...and if they're auctioning them one by one, well...they've spotted an opportunity I guess, and we do admire entrepreneurial ingenuity, don't we? Pass.

The McCain sculpts we've seen miss the mark by a country mile. I understand how male pattern baldness is tough for a sculptor, but considering that it's so common, you need a better solution than to make the man look like he's wearing a wig. McCain and Biden look the same from the back; will they give Joe a Shatner 'do too?

...and I believe you'd be wrong.

So do I, it's just a matter of respecting him and his voters, but above all the fact that a company like DiD has no business stating it's political preference imo. Then again, we're all free to speak our opinion, but not always without risk, and that is what they have done. They risk loosing a good deal of US customers this way.
Political parody has been part of our society for ages, but DiD should just stick to history. By producing a figure to promote their preference, who's to say that they didn't have the same intention with the nazi figures?
Bad bad bad call DiD.

Not sure how any of you would think to buy an Obama action figure....the Man cannot even Salute the American Flag or acknowledge it....and this is the kind of Man we want in Office? Wake up!

I personally don't see any difference between these figures and what shows like SNL do or lateshow hosts do or about 90% of the entertainment industry does for that matter.

They look ok. Obama is the better figure. I like that little barstool best of all.

I'm dispointed the other McCain head is gone. :monkey2 I would've bought it just for that.

*sigh*

I saw McCain refused to wear a flag pin in any of the debates whereas Obama did. It's so obvious McCain hates America.
