Anyone worried about proto to production, this video really highlights how great the production pieces come out. In some areas no drop of quality, in others better quality. Can't wait to get this in Jan!

Im kind of terrified that they’ll go triple, extra, super premium for a 1:6 Wonder Woman; purely for my wallet’s-sake.
She’s not a character I love or even particularly care about- but I would need to have that on my shelf.

We’re really hitting obscene prices now and I’m basically just assuming I can afford all my pre-orders at this point.
I feel a collection-purge will be due soon.
I’ve got a ton of crap that I’d barely even notice if it went missing.

is it really necessary to post nick d's pic publically like that (yes i know its his pfp) but still... really unethical and petty for a grown ass dude. we're all adults here, act like it lol

This thread has rapidly become one of favorites to check everyday. So much back and forth on whether this figure is worth it. With a nice dash of internet beef here and there.

FWIW(not much) I don't really see the likeness to Heath in either sculpt. Good for those that plan to pick this up. I'll probably stick to piecing together various bits from custom offerings.

You said you're getting an edition of of JND Joker right? You'll be able to see in-hand how it is, if it's worth the high cost. At the very least you'll have a good product that maybe you'll feel you have paid way too much for, but then you won't have fomo of future releases.

This being the most expensive 1/3 I feel like it'd be the same 1/6th too. But if anyone's deserving of the new tech it's her. I have to say, I would not be able to afford having two 1/3 and a 1/6 that costs more than the Joker. I got the 1/3 statues after selling my collection, those just didn't do it for me anymore, and the 1/3 were exactly what I was looking for.

I think it's always good to purge a collection anyway. Everyone's guilty of having bought tertiary characters just because they look cool.

At these price points anyway, you'll really have to decide which characters you want on top of from which manufacturer. At the end of the day it's all about going for what will bring you the most joy.

I'm excited how production will turn out since JND is constantly improving. That WW looks great. And I'm sure they wouldn't want to dissapoint the 1/6 community. Can't wait to see future the updates on display.

It's funny to me still how people in YT or facebook complain about the product not lasting, when 20-30 years or more is a very long time. Let's say worst case around 20 years, when you are 60 that is still 1/3 your whole life. Hot toys DX11 was around 2013 and is heavily outdated during this time, and it hasn't even been 20 years. If you think this will be a one and done figure for the rest of your life for the "best" Joker TDK that is definitely not happening. This will be one of the best Jokers for a while until the next one comes along. This is just the nature of the hobby and how companies make money.

And of course, using common sense such as leaving your figure in a good climate, not going crazy with the posing with help the longevity. And those who say it's supposed to be constantly moved, its the same analogy as the HT spiderman figures. HT advertises it as a very flexible figure sure, but we all know leaving it in dynamic poses will crease or damage the suit overtime. Same thing here, we can move it, but be very cautious with the neck.

Precisely. I don't think anyone getting these, probably the majority from the 1/3 market, will not be playing around with them a lot. I imagine like myself when I get these, I will move them around for a bit at first then place in poses I like. Can't imagine throughout the years I'll adjust them much further. And in before anyone asks what's the point of getting it in that case, well I never moved my Hot Toys around a lot either. Plus the look of the silicone and hidden joints make it worth it enough. I want as close to realistic as possible.

To be fair, I'm not really worried about the joint or degredation of the figure. I handle all of my collectibles with care and have never had a problem aside from Hot Toys Batman's suit sticking to itself and peeling at the armpits and groin.

To be honest, I find the eye-moving process on Inart to be more worrisome. Over time, having to press and squeeze on the back of the hair that much will frizz and dry that hair, rubbing the product out.

Also in regards to 1/3 WW, I'm wondering if the arms are that wobbly intentionally. A bit like how skyscrapers are built to slightly sway, if you have rigid silicone with a metal rod inside of it surely that's more likely to damage than something softer with a less rigid armature.

Yes, while that looks better, aren't you paying like $2-3K for the sculpt, paint and rooting? Add the licensing fee too. Collecting prop replicas, there will always be more accurate fan made props compared to the limited edition licensed props. It's the price to pay for something licensed and good quality, while maybe 95% accurate to the prop. Customs usually will be the better route but would still end up costing more and good luck trying to get half of what was invested if you need to sell.

If you would commission a sculpt from Yuan right now it would cost you around 1100USD/1300USD i'd say including the sculpt itself (original one not recast).
I was lucky enough to find a Dean Tolliver 6.0 sculpt painted and haired by Yuan for about 575 USD.

The smilling sculpt was a little more expensive but still a lot less than JND or even Inart 2 pack.
If i were to put that sculpt on a TOPO 2.0 it would still cost me less than JND.

Sometimes you can get lucky and get custom stuff at a reasonnable price.

But we should probably start talking about the JND figure again before we get bonked by the admins.

I need to see both of those Jokers together... please.

It often seems to me that companies like this go to sculptors like Kojun purely for marquee value. That Yixie sculpt looks superb, but, if JND said Joker by Yixie, they go "Who!?", but, you say Kojun and they're tripping over their tongues.

It's like HT and Arnie Kim, they hired him to do the one guy that he couldn't get right. Trevor Grove nails Indy, but, SSC already had him and Howard wanted a 'Name'. If you want a great head sculpt, go to the guys that know what they're doing. Most of them would welcome a chance to be put on the map.

The JND standard sculpt looks great but some of those customs posted above top it for me. Those are just incredible and probably in a similar price range as the standard JND when all is said and done. I ended up using my InArt body/outfit plus a custom Yixie sculpt that I picked up haired and painted for a good price. Still tempted to see the JND in person but not worth shelling out the $$ when their prototype to production quality in 1/6 isn't yet established.

Some customs top it, but I wouldn’t say those do. The standard JND is better than some of Adams sculpts. Here’s two that rival JND and are a bit better. One I’m having commissioned, the other HT is using for theirs. I’m sure I’m missing a handful of sculpts, but there honesty isn’t many.
