And this whole timeline thing is different from the multiverse, which makes it even more convoluted. You can have different timelines within the same universe apparently.

It’s so dumb.
That's always been the case in the comics for decades. There's timelines, multiverses, and all manner of in-between.

Spider-Man 2099 is from the future, but also from a different universe.

Just because it existed in the comics doesn’t make it any less dumb.

That's why I'm glad they don't do it for every story, and thankfully I'm liking what they're doing with this one so far.

We have two variant, time-and-space displaced versions of a Norse God having a heart-to-heart in a McDonald's parking lot about predestination and free will.

That's the kind of comic book nonsense I ENJOY.

Middle of the road episode this week, but still pretty fun. Loki takes a backseat to Kang variant Victor Timely, so your enjoyment will largely depend on whether you enjoy his quirky and eccentric portrayal or not. It’s different from He Who Remains, but still rather atypical.

Did enjoy the setting and questions of order vs chaos, predestination vs free will, and the open-ended issue of whether this is all “part of his plan” or not.

I would be enjoying things more if Loki himself wasn't such a weak point this season. Previously an entertaining wild card, Loki's current path is not challenging the (so far) conventional narrative. But then again, it's not too rare to see a story meander and unevenly develop its tertiary characters whilst neglecting the importance of its primary.

So bluntly, I just want to see a classic Marvel hero/villain do something cool again.

Aunt May (Character) - Comic Vine

Return of Aunt May - Peter believed, once again, he lost his aunt forever. But Peter quickly discovered the truth. May was alive. Indeed, it was Norman Osborn who kidnapped May. He replaced her with a fake May who was, in reality, a genetically modified actress. When Norman became totally crazy, his former employee Alison Mongrain and Robbie Robertson revealed to Peter where was his aunt. Peter saved her and defeated the Green Goblin. There are still questions: What did the Green Goblin had done to May? Is she the real May?

IMHO, it's easier to see how far comic writers will stretch anything possible to keep a story, any story really, going by looking at a few character summaries.

Only then can you see the timeline of what ends up being usually a pretty bizarre character arc. I mean I get it, the writers of these comics are often boxed into a corner and don't have a ton of new characters they can just force into a legacy universe, but it starts to get less and less "grounded" as time goes on.

If you ask me, basically every "hit" show on Showtime ends up like a comic book ( Weeds, Shameless, Homeland, Dexter, Billions, etc, etc) where the last third of the show's run goes into just ridiculous territory and everyone had decided to mail it in and keep cashing checks.

If we all live long enough, we'll find out Aunt May was a member of MI5 and did wetwork with the Howling Commandos in her youth.

So here's the thing, the MCU can tell whatever stories they want to tell. They just can't be boring. That's where this show kind of grinds to a halt. Loki is just often very boring, and his fun factor was built upon never being a dull moment. Just some thoughts.

Could have brought back Darcy/Kat Dennings instead of Owen Wilson and She Loki. At least Darcy has history in the Thor films. Hiddleston really hits his stride when he has someone to play off of and there's actual chemistry. I just don't vibe chemistry with this TV version of Loki and anyone else in it's current cast.

Good episode that took its time. Scenes could breathe, actors could stretch their legs.

Sophia DiMartino shines as Sylvie, and it's great seeing Jonathan Majors as another variant. He injects them with enough traits to make each one unique from the next.

I hope the personal issues he has at the moment aren't true, I like him in the role.

I get why Loki and Mobius are taking a bit of a backseat but there is a lot of story to tell here. They looked fantastic in their 1893 costumes, hope HT make those.

Another great episode, though I'm not entirely sure what happened 😳
That was wild. I was honestly left pretty awestruck. There were so many moments from that episode that I thought were going in a different direction and then didn't. (For the better)

Also holy **** the scene in the block room was really dark.

Miss Minutes is a legit psychopath. The argument between Loki and Sylvie was sooooooo good, Sylvie screaming at poor Mobius was amazing.

I read an interview with the showrunners where they said this would normally be a season finale but they wanted to accelerate the storytelling and go somewhere they weren't expecting.

I literally have no idea what happens next.

I was pretty busy the past few weeks so didn't have the time to see this. Today is a holiday so I decided to watch episode 1. I just finished episode 4.

This one is excellent so far. Episode 3 was for me the weakest so far and even then it was still "OK". The rest though was great so far. Can't wait to see where this goes because right now everything is up in the air.

The last two episodes have been pretty wild and gone in directions I really didn’t see coming. I’m a bit disappointed that Loki and Mobius have taken such a back seat this season but every single new character is really shining, even if Ke Huy seems to just be there for exposition (he is amazingly good at it though, really sells it with a ton of charm). Loved the little BTTF3 nod in the most recent ep.

BTTF3?

I caught the Back to the Future reference, but I don't think it was from the third movie.
