i was in pretty early and had it in the basket. Weren’t able to checkout as Sideshow is requesting a personal customs code from international buyers now. I searched what kind of number they want, of course I don’t have such a number. I waited for the inevitable sell out and went on the waitlist. I will apply that weird number now and hopefully get it before my waitlist converts.

Also tried to reach Sideshow voa chat/sms. No answer. Of course.

Congrats Sideshow! You make every international buyer experience a misery. I remember a time you were awesome. What a shame…
i once got this as a reply,i just put in te number thats on my ID as the code

thank you for reaching out to us.

I apologize for any confusion. As an importer of record, Sideshow makes every effort to comply with all international customs regulations. Per the European Commission website, businesses and people wishing to trade or import must use the EORI number as an identification number in all customs procedures. For more information, please visit the Taxation and Customs Union website here.

With that being said, this may not apply to all collectors. The EORI applies to all businesses and private individuals in order to import or export goods out of the EU and/or the UK. If this does apply to you, please update your account now to avoid issues with delivery. If you have any other questions, we recommend contacting your local customs agency.

If you are unable to receive an EORI number or your country does not require one for business-to-consumer imports, please use your personal tax identification number in the personal tax code field when entering your address.

Thank you for being a valued Sideshow Collector.

It’s not really a fair comparison though. You don’t pay taxes to HK sellers. Sideshow has to charge them. I’m not sure what shipping is like but I know it wasn’t super cheap for the InArt premium two pack.
My rooted Inart 2 pack was $45 usd shipping from specfiction, this says $21.33

I guess I'm the only one that happily ordered just the sculpted one about a half hour ago. I don't have confidence in myself to be able to style the hair on the rooted one and I can't see the extra $150 in value in the price.
Honestly a lot of the rooted sculpts don't need much styling. I wouldn't let that deter you tbh. Only water and a toothpick is really only things needed IF you wanted to change how the hair is styled.

Good luck with that low shipping price from Sideshow. I live 20 mins away from them and it costs me $19-$21 for a regular figure.
For real. I actually called them years ago and was like, "I'm in Silver Lake. Can I just drive to ya'll?" :lol

Would have been worth a try. At least I will have an EORI now. Who knows for what it’s worth…

Was stuck on a 3-hour work call, so went on the WL. If it turns, fine. If not, there will always be another shiny. Not to mention I have the InArt, and probably wouldn't car to know the difference. Trying to decide whether or not to just grab the Collectors Edition. May wait until it sells out then go on that WL.

This page seemingly implies that if your country doesn't have an EORI code (like in Aus apparently u need an NBN ie to be a business to have a code? but I dunno if it was asking Aus buyers anyway cos i chose not to buy), you may be able to just make sure your account has your birthdate on it, for some reason? https://help.sideshow.com/hc/en-us/...ersonal-Customs-Code-To-Your-Shipping-Address

I dunno I don't really get it or how that helps with the customs process but have a read I spose
